Loving the mod in SP b41!
Made my game much easier and it was a life savor!
I'm using it to speed up the game while crafting, pry opening doors, reading books and stuff.
Don't know if it's my mouse problem or something else, but my mouse 4 button is not working.
Still love the mod!

For anyone wanting to use this mod for those side mouse buttons, Build 42 (Unstable as of this comments posting) has support for them without the need for this mod.

ok so I made it work.
1. In the main menu go to MODS, select BindAid and ModOptions and click "enable" at the right panel
2. then in OPTIONS > Mods, "Run mouse and emulated events" - check (also I've unchecked auto-hide but I don't think it matters). I think it worth restarting the game after that,
3. OPTIONS > Key bindings, scroll to the very bottom. There I put "[" and "]" keys into "Mouse button 3" and "Mouse button 4" fields.
3. OPTIONS > Key bindings, For example "Inventory" - I set to "[" key (press on keyboard), it asks "remove/keep both" I choose "keep both", after that it starts to work in-game.

how to use it?

it does kinda work, I can bind R to middle mouse button and reload with it, or bind Q to Mouse 4 and shout/emote

but i cant bind the Fancy Handywork's modifier key to anything regardless of keyboard key it is, the mouse does nothing

Is this build42 compatible or will it need an update?

I am trying to bind "backward" movement to mouse 4 or 5 but it does not work, can you please explain how to do it?
ItsBlade 11 Oct, 2024 @ 10:02am
Tried setting it to the same key as my push-to-talk key. Straight up doesn't work. Using a Logitech G502 Lightspeed, neither of the mouse4 or mouse5 buttons work with the assigned keybinds

I can't get it to work, I can't assign any mouse buttons to do anything, could anyone walk me through how to do it properly?
KickPaw 31 Jul, 2024 @ 4:32am
I can bind only one mouse button and it's possible to use fast forward but not manual floor attack button

This mod is better than great! Took 2 seconds of trial and error to figure out which button was 3 and which was 4, but now I have reload and interact call/shout bound to the mouse. Only issue I found is that I can't seem to get "rack weapon" to work. I can bind the key but it doesn't seem to matter, it just wont do the action.

Either way, I have been looking for something like this for about a as long as I have been playing the game. Seriously, thanks so much for making this! It's crazy this mod isn't 5 stars.

I also really like spiffui and fancy handywork. You make some top notch mods. And appear to be an oldschool Oney fan.

I cant seem to figure out how to get this to work no matter what I do.
Broken Moon 12 Apr, 2024 @ 6:33pm
Gotta agree, they don't work.:/

Mod doesn't work, mouse buttons still do nothing.
slozon 7 Mar, 2024 @ 11:01am
Am I the only one that doesn't understand how this works? Can't set mousekeys to any binds, and any binds I set in the emulator spots don't do anything when I press mouse keys?

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH :spiffo:

I have no idea what I need to do to make the mouse buttons perform a specific function. I want the center mouse button to perform a floor attack, is this not possible with this mod alone?
cn0ble 30 Apr, 2023 @ 8:11am
Would this allow you to bind commands to a keyboard button?
Boris-XP 19 Mar, 2023 @ 8:24pm

Update 03/16/2023
Due to base game limitations, I have been forced to reduce the number of supported additional Mouse Buttons from 10 to 6. The game literally cannot query for more than 8 Mouse Buttons in total, including left and right click. I must have missed this during my initial testing.

Update 03/13/2023
Fixed an error when starting a session without ModOptions by loading options sooner
Updated Modkey handling. See updated: BindAid - Modder's Resource
Veepo The Goblin Maid 11 Mar, 2023 @ 6:52pm
Oh I see. Still, the other features are great. Thanks for your work :)
dhert  [author] 11 Mar, 2023 @ 6:47pm
@Veep - The Modkey is currently limited as something exposed for modders: I am planning on using this as a soft-dependency in my other mods and wanted to unify this here. Hopefully it catches on. I have clarified this in the mod's description.
I do plan on being able to bind vanilla keys with the Modkey, but would want to integrate this into Options further which is a whole thing. So stay tuned.

Looks like a very promising mod! Just one question, how do you get the modkey to work? When I set a keybind it's the same as before. I press ctrl+W and it only takes the W. I may be doing something wrong, I am sorry.
