this mod was always goated
Joy Tomaro  [author] 19 Dec, 2024 @ 8:35am
This mod was made for B41, and I will take a second look at it after the official release of B42, so I get to enjoy the game in its new vanilla state for a while
K5_05R 18 Dec, 2024 @ 12:52pm
build 42 compatible?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 15 Dec, 2024 @ 11:10am
I am not sure. If the susceptible trait mod uses its own unique system for killing players with the disease, then it could possibly not work well together. however, if you die you will most likely not turn into a zombie if you are immune

in short, it depends if the mod has its definition of infected or not
Munchy 15 Dec, 2024 @ 9:46am
Great mod! but i need to ask is there compatibilty with the Susceptible Trait mod?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 24 Oct, 2024 @ 12:01pm
It could be, but im not sure. If you think it could be a compatibility issue can you put it in the bug report thread so i can see it again in the future should I come back to this game
A Very Cute Snek 24 Oct, 2024 @ 11:41am
Yes, after 24h. As for the latter, yes, after the bandage is removed you have the option to check, but the player is never told if they are or aren't. Is this a potential conflict with the anthro traits mod?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 24 Oct, 2024 @ 11:14am
@A Very Cute Snek
Do you have a time set to check the wound? Also, the mod only lets you check if you have an exposed bite (if it is bandaged, you have to remove the bandage to check it; additionally, lacerations and scratches do not trigger the check feature at all)

Otherwise, yes the mod should be safe to remove. It will keep the hidden tags on the characters, so if you ever add it back, players will still have the same immunity status as when you first used the mod
A Very Cute Snek 24 Oct, 2024 @ 9:02am
Is this safe to remove mid save? Its causing weird behavior on my server, mainly people not getting any notification to check their wound, as well as checking doing... nothing.
Joy Tomaro  [author] 19 Oct, 2024 @ 5:28am
then the best way is to pick the immunity system module and set the sandbox options for immunity chance. players will still get fake symptoms the first time they are bitten tho.
CloudEniix 18 Oct, 2024 @ 10:11pm
Yeah Id like to be able to give players the trait without them being able to pick it when creating a character
Joy Tomaro  [author] 17 Oct, 2024 @ 10:52am
additionally, there are ways in-game to grant people the trait, if that suits your needs
Joy Tomaro  [author] 17 Oct, 2024 @ 10:49am
Nope, sandbox options cannot change the cost of a trait. I believe there is a way to make a mod that requires this mod and only changes the trait cost, however.
CloudEniix 16 Oct, 2024 @ 8:39pm
Can you adjust the cost in config? Id like to use this in a roleplay scene for when players unlock immunity
Joy Tomaro  [author] 5 Aug, 2024 @ 4:47am
I don't have enough information to go off of this. Can explain what happened in the bug reports thread? I personally have tested it myself and the traits were perfectly compatible
Infected Ronin 5 Aug, 2024 @ 12:46am
Heya Tomaro.
Be me, take bitten and immunity traits.
Activate Immunity system
Game decide nope, you're not immune
I die.
Normal?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 12 May, 2024 @ 12:18pm
@FoxHound Thanks for using my mod! Unfortunately I don't remember the pants I'm using, but for clothing i mostly use Clothesbox Redux, Spongie's Clothing, and Authentic Z.
FoxHound / Nathan Hawn 12 May, 2024 @ 2:39am
Thanks for this mod ! been looking at one like it for a long time ! :D
But also, where did you find that convict pants in the pictures ? oO
Joy Tomaro  [author] 27 Apr, 2024 @ 2:06pm
no problem! thanks for using my mod!
supasaiyajinrosekaiokenx 26 Apr, 2024 @ 12:20pm
i see, no it makes sense that an immune player can't blend in. that actually makes it perfect. thank you for this beautiful mod.
Joy Tomaro  [author] 25 Apr, 2024 @ 4:58pm
i think they can be added together but i doubt immune players can blend in with zombies, since in order to prevent the instadeath bug i had to set infection time to -1
supasaiyajinrosekaiokenx 25 Apr, 2024 @ 6:33am
there's a new mod by braven that allows you to blend in with zombies once you reach a long time with infection. do you think this'll work with that?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 30 Mar, 2024 @ 12:26am
Yes. I used it in my runs with this mod.
alimpic 29 Mar, 2024 @ 2:58pm
does this work with the only cure mod?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 17 Mar, 2024 @ 10:40pm
thanks for confirming! and thanks for using my mod!
Shaun 17 Mar, 2024 @ 5:52pm
It works good thanks.
Joy Tomaro  [author] 16 Mar, 2024 @ 3:59pm
@Shaun i dont think there should be any problems with it. i used them together before
Shaun 16 Mar, 2024 @ 5:58am
Is this compatible with theyknew mod?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 25 Feb, 2024 @ 11:00pm
It is highly likely that the bug is fixed, and the test I did was a very consistent way of reproducing the bug (by covering myself in bites, then healing myself and fast-forwarding and letting a zombie bite me). I was not able to reproduce the bug in that way. The bug was fairly rare in the first place, so for many, this update would be unnoticeable and thus not worth confirming.

The fix itself was adding a single line of code that set the infection time to 0, which I previously thought the game did not have since so many immunity mods didn't have this line and had the same bug (according to comments from here).

Based on this, I am very certain that the bug is fixed.

Can anyone confirm if the instant death bug was fixed or not? I don't want to use my own server as a testing ground in case players inadvertently get killed and lose weeks of progress.
Joy Tomaro  [author] 8 Feb, 2024 @ 12:34pm
Made a change that likely fixed the instant death bug! Thanks to albion from the PZ discord for letting me know of this small change!

I tested it but in debug mode using a method that I was previously able to duplicate the bug with, but I did not do extensive testing.
Joy Tomaro  [author] 25 Jan, 2024 @ 10:31pm
both versions can be enabled
|ExT| Cori 25 Jan, 2024 @ 6:44pm
Can you turn on both the trait and the system or should you only enable one?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 15 Oct, 2023 @ 2:43pm
I have not been playing the game lately, but I hope to take another look at it in the future. Probably not anytime soon, at least not for the current build.
ParasiticSquid 15 Oct, 2023 @ 4:50am
Needs a update to fix the insta-kill issues since this is hands down the only good immunity mod ive seen so far. Others just try and force a "balance" of the modders choice or make the immunity basically pointless if you get bit again. Frankly, if a player wants to role play a immune survivor then they should have the option and until yours I hadn't seen a proper immunity/immunity gain system that wasn't "Get bit again you die" based.

So letting this die and not attempting to fix the insta-kill bug if possible feels like a mistake since you were the only one so far that let players actually become immune, even during play if they wanted that. Im going to miss this and I doubt another will make something similar.. modders had years to before you did it and they didn't, doubt that will change now but ill be pleasantly suprised if one pops up later on.
Joy Tomaro  [author] 10 Oct, 2023 @ 4:11pm
Hi everyone! Thanks for using my mod(s)!

My mods have not been updated in several months and I currently have no plans to update any of them. Feel free to study this mod or use the same concepts to make something more functional.
Rainoa 5 Oct, 2023 @ 9:41am
@Fearth3nob
it does work, but it does suffer from the insta death bug though, so far i have not found/used immunity mod that has not had the bug sadly

insta death bug is trigger when bitten in a place that has healed from a bite before, SO the immunity works one time per spot bitten if ever bitten again in the same spot YOU DIE!!!

if you want true immunity you will just have to turn off the transmission of the virus all together
Zombie Lore > Transmission = none or if working on dedicated server i think its option "4"

i do wonder if the bitten mod would counter this and allow u to start infected anyways lolz
Fearth3nob 28 Sep, 2023 @ 9:51pm
this mod doesn't do shit its fucking suck
space is cool 5 Sep, 2023 @ 7:53am
yeah this mod definitely isn't working as intended. I get insta killed by zombies now :lunar2019deadpanpig:
Rainoa 18 Aug, 2023 @ 4:51pm
its a bug, ya insta die if re-bitten in a spot that healed before!
currently its more like a get out of jail free card gamble card!!!
you get 1 free bite as immune in every part of ur body but if u happen to get bitten again in that same spot poof dead
Nightboss00 14 Aug, 2023 @ 6:09pm
i was playing and was immune then died from a bite infection, how the hell does that work lost 10 hours of progress
Joy Tomaro  [author] 11 Jul, 2023 @ 1:48pm
i imagine it would be compatible, but my mod doesnt prevent infections behind the scenes. it only removes them in an instant, so if it kills you in a different way this mod won't work. and if it constantly attempts to infect you, my mod is removing them just as fast which could cause potential errors
HOLY_YH4 11 Jul, 2023 @ 10:20am
is this also compatible with the susceptible trait?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 5 Jul, 2023 @ 7:01pm
immunity is determined on spawn, so once you know you are immune, you will not need to check ever again
CaptainKidd 5 Jul, 2023 @ 4:52pm
I am assuming that once you have determined you are immune it lasts for the life of that character. So no need to check any bites in the future right?
ThatOneShoko 27 Jun, 2023 @ 6:14pm
aha ok thanks
Joy Tomaro  [author] 27 Jun, 2023 @ 2:22pm
@FastandCurios due to limitations on modding the health panel, the health check is a recipe. you just need to right click the scalpel and it will give you an option to examine yourself
ThatOneShoko 27 Jun, 2023 @ 1:19pm
For some reason, I cant seem to check if the bite is good or not? I get the notification, have the scalpel and cotton ball in inventory, remove the bandage but dont see an option for it?
Joy Tomaro  [author] 25 Jun, 2023 @ 10:16pm
You don't die from fake infection. I don't think the symptoms of fake infection change regardless of your infection settings, but with my mod you would still need to test yourself to get rid of the symptoms and have the real immune trait
Mc Roidaaar 25 Jun, 2023 @ 2:32pm
I have to ask, cuz am too lazy to test. Can you die from fake-infection on immune char? Say, you got bit but the settings for infection are immediate death, so you can't possibly have time to check your bite wound. I would imagine you just get max panic and no fever and ticking health?
