After the crew and I died, our new id cards worked on the lockers. Very strange. We bought the ship after using a dugong so no idea what caused this.

That is an odd error - running the ship without mods on my side both of these storage spaces run fine.

Check in the ship editor if they work - perhaps there is a mod altering permissions?

Seems like that did it. I let the bots walk around in the editor for a while, then I chased them with a gun for a while ;), and they seemed to walk and run everywhere just fine. Love this sub by the way, it's been in my favorites for a long time.

It is not fixed. However, I have fixed it in 1 easy step. In the sub editor, just click the yellow waypoint that's on the hatch until it turns green like all the others. Tested a few times after that and it was fixed.

I've taken a look at it, though I do not know if it is fixed - You'd have to start a new campaign in all likelihood for the changes to take effect.

When I say dated I do not mean poorly made. It is just that some of the things like glass went from being a mild weak point which was really good to extremely dangerous. As the mechanics for some of the items have been altered and I have had to extensively overhaul many of my ships when items or things like the stairs started causing problems my ship the Krokodil-13 had the stairs bug out due to a patch similar to this one and had to be manually fixed with some creative editing by using two small stairs overlapped instead of one long one.

Every ship should have flaws and issues so that it makes it interesting to play.

I appreciate that what I created inspired you enough to modify it. The ship is designed to fit in (as best as I can understand) with other vanilla ships. The design flaws are design flaws by intention, aside from the stairs - which I thank you for pointing out.

I would not describe the original as "dated" as I actively update the ship with the current version of Barotrauma.

All the same I do hope, above all else what I've done inspires you to develop ships of your own, and if it suits you - feel free to modify and pick apart what I have done to your hearts content.

Additionally, if you are seeking a starter I would strongly recommend looking at Aburne.

I did a Mk2 version of this and take a look at how I fixed the stairs.
did a few other fun changes like resetting hatches on the windows.

Holy snap ive been looking for balanced ships all day with no success what so ever! Either the ship is WIlDLY OP, Out of date or bad for the Ai.

This However appear to be uptodate, Good with Ai, and very balanced looking(Could be wrong, am new player)
Overall between this and your other tier 1 ship im captured~!
Gona install them into my game and giveum ago. Thank you for putting the effort in!

I actually fixed the stairs by making them smaller so the base of the stair is aligned with the floor, thinking of running this as a starter submarine in the next campaign

The problems with bots and the stairs is noted, and I'm doing my best to figure out how to fix it without doing a massive restructure of the sub.

As to the storage area and a door, I've considered it. As to the ladders and the windows I don't quite understand your complaint from a gameplay perspective.

Ship is decently fun but has several flaws, the weird little closet below upper dive bay needs a door, players just always bash it open and do stuff in there anyway, the glass while neat in earlier editions is a massive shrapnel hazard and constantly rains shards of transparent aluminum scything through the medbay, ladders aren't done right on the research pit so its hard to walk across them.

Other than that its a fairly competent ship just a bit dated.

The bots get stuck by the research table because they want to fix the ceiling, but some spots aer just barely too high for them to register how to fix it.

Always appreciate feedback, Its just a wiring problem with the periscope - where the input is the same for the view and the trigger. I'll fix it in the next update.

using this sub in my current solo run with bots and am running into an issue when I attached a chaingun to the open hardpoint. The gun appears to fire uncontrollably nonstop whenever someone is manning it. I know very little about wiring and whatnot so haven't made any attempt to fix, just thought id let you know

Friend and I have been using it in campaign with bots, they frequently stop in front of the research table and idle there until pulled to one of the staircases. Is this something you happen to know how to fix?

Cargo hulls lack a gap between them. Duct block does not function for the left hull.

The docking port its not wired to the main energy grid of the sub, you might want to check that out.

As for the lack of dedicated super-cap, that is very much by design.

Turret 3, the empty hardpoint, isn't properly linked to the loader, when the hardpoint is filled with a weapon the weapon is unusable and can't be loaded with ammo. It also doesn't appear to have a dedicated super-cap, unlike the others.

that bug aside, nice sub, feels balanced
