well, found a way to do it for caravan camps only, without touching accidents

In 1.6 version the Caravan camp map is now treated as "accident" map. By default this mod doesn't allow to exit from it. I found however the way to re-implement it. Do we need it?

Does this work with Vanilla Vehicles Expanded? I'm hoping to do a road warrior nomad playthrough, but I need to be able to take my vehicles with me!

It's really weird. It used to work with all maps, but now it doesn't work with encounter maps.

For some reason it doesn't work with some maps. Raid ancient installation, for example, doesn't allow you to leave if there are enemies present.

@TehJustOne can you mention animal drafting mods? I don't assure I am going to make patch for each mods but I will write down in the workshop page. But thanks for reporting. Helped alot

Yea folks, I found another issue that if you have install mods that allow you to draft an animal, sending them to the map border will make them disappear forever, and another one is when using vanilla outpost expanded, if you make the option for items to be delivered via animal caravan, this mod will make the delivery animals disappear.

Yea, as some other user mentioned, this mod kinda breaks the mental break "gave up" and makes your colonist leaves the map to make a caravan. In a way this mod oddly negates that in a unintentional way.

If this excellent mod ever gets an update it could use a compatibility patch for Vehicles. It Does* work but takes a little finesse to get past the "Can't Path there" error

Does this mod also allows pawns to escape caravan ambushes, and similar situations where vanilla would explicitly forbid you to leave?

There is one problem: when the "Gave up" mental break happens, the pawn comes to the edge and forms a caravan, that instantly stops the break and the pawn remains a colonist.

Otherwise, works in 1.5.

@Mlie Thanks for that. I'm about to start a Zombieland (it finally updated, hurrah) playthrough and need a way to get pawns off a map quickly in a pinch. Glad to see that this one still works.

Until this mod is updated to 1.5, my workaround is telling pawns to pick up stuff manually, walking them to the map edge, then using dev mode to instantly send a caravan of just those colonists. All items that happen to be in their inventory are added to the caravan.

This doesn't let me load animals, but in any situation desperate enough to need this workaround, I can't load animals anyway.

I have the error that allied or enemy caravans disappear when they arrive over the edge, that option should be disabled so only the own settlers leave.
that's why it doesn't work in 1.5
