I just updated the default config for these and some other ores. You'll have to delete the config file, then run the game again and the mod will recreate a new config with granite ores and some others.

I just double checked by actually going to a plains biome cave. Worked fine on granite gold, copper and iron ore.

This will need to be fixed for 1.0, as it currently causes the game to crash out when used.
I would suggest you put the code somewhere as well, so others can work on fixing it too.

Small issue, but doesn't cause a functional issue

On native linux the config file is named "\AnotherVeinMiner\config.json"
The folder "\AnotherVeinMiner" is created in the ~/.config/Necesse folder but the config just sits in the ~/.config/Necesse folder, because of the reversed slash not being interpreted as a directory

This is likely because in the java you are creating folders and paths using the \ character, rather than using os.path.join

Again, doesn't cause any actual issues as the \ character is being written and read on linux just fine

The deep cave version of the plains cave uses basalt, so apparently you need that in place of "graniterock". For mine, I added in:

,"ironorebasaltrock","copperorebasaltrock","goldorebasaltrock","tungstenorebasaltrock","lifequartzbasaltrock","amberbasaltrock"

Thank you to the previous comment for how to look up the the names. They aren't exact, but it's enough that I could figure it out and get both regular and deep plains caves working.

For plains caves add this to config.
,"ironoregraniterock","copperoregraniterock","goldoregraniterock"
You can figure out what to add by using "F2".

I'm not sure of the tile names for plains cave. But if you add "ironoreplains" to the config. It should work. If not, I will look into it more. Note, you will have to add this for each ore type. copperoreplains, etc.

Updated for the Incursion issue. Should be fixed now so you get progress for all ores mined.

and now after I've said that, I've run into a bug with the mod- Vein mining ores doesn't increase the progress for more than the 1 mined ore in mining incursions. Was just locked out of finishing the incursion because no more ores existed to mine while under 50% completion of ores

I saw your comment to Mak and re-downloaded the mod exclusively to try it with it always active, and it's working like a charm. I'm assuming it's just binding jank with the vanilla game, even though I didn't have overlapping bindings, I've had a few inconsistencies in the game. Thanks for the time though ^.^ def gonna fix the config if I run into something missing.

@Nia Interesting. The config doesn't have all ores. You can add any missing ores to the config for it to work with newer ones. You just need the right naming convention for the newer ores. As for the conflicts, it's possible. You can try changing the bind key if another mod or something also uses it.

@Mak You can just unbind veinmine in the controls and it will always be active without using a key.

@Venelder I was running the post content zones, So I'm not sure what ores they were specifically, especially since the ore that worked at the start was the dimensional shard ore, but it didn't vein mine it later. I did also run it with the auto-cast mod, so that might conflict every once in a while, but not every time. I'm honestly at a loss for the inconsistency.

@Nia I tested last week and didn't have an issue. Just updated the version number today, tested again, still working. Not sure how it would work on the first patch, but none after. I would need more information about the types of tiles you tried to mine each time.

I did run it with this update, the very first ore patch I mined while using the hotkey, it vein mined. Couldn't get it to vein mine again. Possibly a bug related to post-game content, or because the mod is outdated at the moment.

I did resub and checked the files via Steam, my mod was outdated (1.3.2), I failed for not checking that haha

@julio You can try resubbing to the mod. Seems to still be working for me. It is updated to the current version, 0.28.1. I think the default z-key has conflicts with potions or something. Sometimes it causes it not to work right if I recall. You can check that too. Try no key, or some other non-conflict key.

Hi Venelder! the mod seems to have stopped working... I tried putting it in the 1st place at the loading order, removed the config file so it generates a new one, but no success... is it because of the new update or maybe am I doing something wrong? I love this mod, I can't play without it haha

@mcmiky3332210 It's also possible there is some conflict with another mod. Does it work for you, but not your friend? You are host in multiplayer?

@mcmiky3332210 I doubt it matters, but try deleting the config.json and restarting the game again. I'll try looking into it. There is a warning about mods not matching if you change mods on a save file. The only thing I changed in the last version was the ores in the config when the mod creates it initially. This normally doesn't matter if the config is changed, as long as it's not broken.

thats the version we have but for some reason when its installed and he tries joining me its just a bunch of red question marks for him. we disabled it and it was the only bugged mod. it was working yesterday, Tuesday, when we used it before. now its not.
we didn't mess with any of the configs for it we left it as is upon install.. and it worked fine but now when my friend tries joining it says that the veinmine mod is not the same version as mine and when we look at it in the review screen its just a punch of red question marks, idk what happened . it was working is working, but its no longer multiplayer friendly.

me and a friend played with the mod the other day tried to continue today and now it says mods arnt the same and for him this mod is listed in red and as a bunch of question marks.

@scamazon prime I don't have a save file that can access later game ores and such. But I updated the default config to include some of those ores and some others. You have to delete the old config, then restart the game.

I'm getting a weird issue where veinmining works fine in most other map types, but it's not working at all in deep swamp caves (haven't tried deep desert caves either). I tried reinstalling, changing the keybinds, everything. It works fine in forest caves, deep forest caves, snow and deep snow caves, and even in level 1 swamp caves. Just not in deep swamp caves. And it's not just with mycellium ores, it doesn't work even on regular iron/gold ores in deep swamp caves.

I don't know the ore names without digging through stuff or looking things up. But they have a word structure. Such as "type+ore+rock" So iron+ore+rock, gold+ore+deeprock. For the most part. Some exceptions. There are some people in this comments that have commented with some of the newer ores. Like julio and EntClanVII.

@KingDawnit What do you mean by adding it under speedmine? When you open the config.json You'll see this {"mining_key":"z","ores":["ironorerock", etc etc etc... Inside the [] brackets is a list of ores, they are double quoted "" and comma seperated since is a json file. Just add to the end of that list. For example, the end would then become "coaloredeepsandstone", "SOMENEWORE"],"radius":10}. Where somenewore is the name of the ore you want to add.
