This mod still works, but the Out of Control trait of the batform literally kills your lord, as a ascended vampire lord, you should be able to retain control of your vampire bat transformation, instead of hur durrrr "losing muh control" here and literally effing dying as a consequence

I get it's for balance and whatever, but the bat form isn't nearly that powerful
now if we could upgrade it to allow other forms, like changing into a varghul, larger bat swarm that can leech hp from enemies, it would be a good compromise, extremely decent playstyle while risking losing control.

Poor Luther Harkon didn't stand a chance, Love the idea behind the mod.

@GenuinelyEric yes it is verry annoying, i really like this mod but because of that i do not want it on if i do not play as a vampire myself, the AI is annoying with it

I like this mod, but it's the most annoying shit in the world to be on the verge of killing a Vamp lord with your own lord, he bats out of there, and then gets killed by some random chump mob in such an unclimactic finish.

Maybe they shouldn't be able to transform while in combat?

Is there any chance that you could either create a submod that limits its usage or reduce the number of times you can use it in battle? I wasnt able to fight the vamp lord because he kept flying off and healing, thus allowing reinforcements and an extra lord to pop up and ruin things

Hello @All is Dust ! Great mod ! Would it be possible to make a little animation or visual effect when Vampires transform themselves into bats ? It would make a nice transition, it looks a bit weird without that :)

This mod does not work anymore. You change forms but your bats don't fly. It might be a change in 3.0. I saw other mods with flying had similar problems.

yeah i figured it out, i wanted to try this mod with the duke's damned nations mod, and it seems they are incompatible :/

@Blind Dolphin please try the mod alone and check it in custom battles. If it still doesn't unsub and sub again. The mod should definitely work, so it is either an incompatability or steam workshop not working as it should

Alright from looking further into it seems there IS a swarm ability (mentions small birds, but why not bats), my apologies.

Maybe, balance-wise since it's mana-free, it should drain vigour to use it?

@Alastor in lore there is both bat form and there is swarm form. This mod is a mixture of both because this way there is no need for balance, you should know the stats of a bat swarm and because in a lot of other mediums vampires transforms into a bat swarm.

This is pretty cool and seems to work well. I would just really prefer if it was transform into A bat, instead of a swarm.

In the lore it says they have the ability to turn into a giant man-sized bat, not a whole swarm of them.

I really like this mod, only gripe I have with it is the unnecessarily long name at the top, makes stand out like a sore thumb in comparison to the other abilities. Would appreciate if you could shorten the name from "Transformation to Bat Swarm form" to simply "Bat Swarm Form" and when transforming back into a vampire, simply call it "Vampire Form".

I'm not sure but I think they were made tiny to seem like the body mass of the vampire was divided into realistic normal size bats

Alright I've tested it again and they are now visible...just really tiny for some reason lol.
You might want to check if something's affecting the size of the model.

Can also confirm, the bats dont show up, not sure where the conflict might be but with just this mod running and nothing else the ability works fine only the bats are invisible graphically. doesnt affect gameplay outside of units fighting invisible models of bats

I've now checked and tried all that and I'm unfortunately still not seeing them. The regular Fell Bats for the Vampire Counts appear fine. It's just the bat swarm transformation that isn't for whatever reason.

@Dream Traveler test in custom battles, try unsubing and subbing again, check if your vanilla bat's show up correctly. Verify your game files.

Yeah I have no other mods besides this one active and its still not appearing to me. The bats are invisible when they transform.

Thx for the screenshots. My current gamesetup runs with "Lords of the Night- Konrad mod. So there isnt any button in battle to transform. Maybe there is a conflict. I´ll try it out with the next run.

Are you sure the lord you are using is a vampire and not on a mount ? If you are sure then there is a mod conflit and I would like you to find what mod is confliting with this one
