Shouldn't there be a cost associated since the law also has to be enforced by someone?

You are not allowed to smoke outside any public establishment where I live, it's pretty nice for all the asthmatics and people allergic to nikotine / trying to stop smoking.

@Михаил Райд Democracy 2 had a 'Smoker' voter group which was removed in Democracy 3. Having this, or being able to mod in new voter groups, would have made forming consequences for Tobacco Law a lot simpler. In the next update I'll probably add a penalty with the 'Everyone' voter group similar to Tobacco Tax.

the costs of a few liberal voters seem a bit low for such a cutting law. In my country it would generate huge protests, not only from liberals (the liberal party members i know usually don't vote cause they understand the damage that tabacco deals to their body)

well, anti-smoking campaign is not in better gameplay mod, but tobacco law sure is in the form of tobacco ban.

The 21 age default has a way overpowered impact on tobacco usage. The It shouldn't have that significant an impact at its default setting

@Ze Doktor GDP itself already affects how much people smoke. Having the policy decrease GDP and smoking would double-wham tobacco consumption. I also used the Alcohol Law policy as a guide, and that didn't affect GDP.

This policy should also decrease GDP. People have to buy Tobacco therefore it is a business

Launch Demoracy 3 and go into the Mods section. Uninstall the Tobacco mod then close D3 and relaunch. It will download the latest version.

Check C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Democracy 3\data\mods
If there are two text files that are named "Tobocco_Law" and "Tobacco_Law_1.0" delete the one called "Tobacco_Law".
You can also check C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Democracy 3 and delete the folder named "Tobacco_Law" BUT KEEP the folder named "Tobacco_Law_1.0".
This was due to me updating the mod with a slightly different name, sorry!

Worked at first, then closed and opened game and it kept crashing. What did I do?

That seems to have fixed it. I was able to play for 4 years (16 turns) without any crashes. Thanks for the quick response.

Aha! For some reason the slider CSV file disappeared. Fixing...
