@xDreadbloodx Honestly I have no idea, I haven't tried it. If WC changes anything with warheads then the warheads in the pack may not affect the shields but everything else would probably work fine.

@DlriumTrgger I could in the future, I may be a bit busy for a bit with college but I'll work on it when I have time. I'll add some better warheads to this pack too, the vanilla ones are a bit lacking imo.

@Octavius u gotta use the 1 block that is slightly bigger than the 1x1 area, it was the only way around the merge issue

the small grind merge blocks from this mod dont work as they should. they stay stuck to eachother

@Lord Raso I could make them stronger/cost more, I do agree cameras get taken out too quickly. I'll edit the component cost either today or tomorrow and see how that will do.

My original request was made at, like, 4 in the morning, and I think I was working with 3 different mods..... Yours actually solves the problem of my initial suggestion since you can encase the blocks in the torpedo armor. There was another mod I was using there the missiles were stacking mostly cylindrical pieces. I was using those because I could get them to fit through some hatches I had made.... If you had plans to make a similar, low profile missile I think that's where my request would be relevant, sorry for the confusion.

That said, I think one little snag I've been having is that the camera on the front gets taken out fairly easily which causes the AI tracking to fail. I think a surface mounted camera that faces forward (like what was added in the recent update, but on your ) would help. Something that can be put further back along the fuselage so it isn't the first thing to get hit with from PD turrets.

@Lord Raso Do u mean for small grid? the large grid one are only 1x1x1 yes? I honestly haven't messed around with stuff from that update yet, I was busy with college and probably distracted by other stuff. If there are some specifically u would like me to make a version for though please let me know and I'll throw something together, it could just be a simple change in the codes for now until I can make models for them.

@condottiere Thanks mate, that's just a icon texture typo though but I'll fix it soon when I add the atmo thrusters in. I thought I fixed all of those, thanks for pointing it out though :)

Is this torpedo compatible with the water mod? Will if float on water or just fly where it wants?

I looked at the Large Block Torpedo Parts mod, and it looks like they got around the merge block thing using a script which seems to wait for it to be disabled and then forces the game to update the block attachments.
From looking at it, it seems to be fairly portable (you probably just need to change the namespace and block names at the start), so it might be worth checking if the licenses allow you to include it.

In my case it's definitely the covers. I did have it drop for a few seconds, but the back of the torpedo drops a bit faster than the front, and when it tilts, it jams right on the pylon instead of falling... and sometimes break the front cover and/or block beneath it, which was conveniently the PB controlling the thing. :D

But that shouldn't be a problem with regular SE physics, where things fall straight, so I don't consider it a problem with this mod. Just a funny story. :)

@Maey I had trouble with the old mod too, I tried to make them drop a bit then go forward but they would end up going off course. I think it was the fins collision that would catch

Ah, shame... didn't think of that, but good to know. Hmm, I wonder how the old Large Block Torpedo Parts mod did it, I'll have to open that up and take a look.

Yeah, I tried the cover parts with two vanilla merge blocks... they look good, but unfortunately I'm also using the aerodynamics mod, which causes the torpedoes to not fall off flawlessly straight, so they were getting caught on the edges a lot of the time. But that's not a problem with this mod. :D

@Maey different merge blocks don't connect unfortunately, it's something I learned while making them, i don't think there is a way around it sadly. If you are using the fin type merge then u'll have to hide one just like it inside the torpedo. Also don't have blocks next to it that have mounting surfaces, they will connect as a singular grid, I made a part that is intended to cover over the internal merge block of the torpedo :)

The merge blocks in this don't seem to unmerge for me when they're turned off, like a normal merge block works... am I missing something?

I tried large and small grid, and coupled with your blocks and vanilla merge blocks on the other end, none of them seemed to want to come apart.

IC, a Guidance block could be an amazing system as so players can lock onto a target and send these things zipping at them lol but never the less this is an amazing system

@Ken Stormwolf it doesn't have guidance systems, it's just a block pack to make player made torpedoes, rockets, or probes. It could probably be guided with a programmable block, I may need to make a small camera turret for that as Schmetterling mentioned.

Have you thought about adding another block based on the camera block with turret properties? Like in this mod . It would help a lot to make torpedoes and rockets on scripts.

Try the merge that's made like wing bit with the grabby things then cover over the blocks on the side of it with the merge covers, the other cover parts have mountpoints on the sides.

I'm experimenting with the thrusters for attitude control on a fighter and liking the look of it.

For more room in the guts of the missile, maybe we could have more panels as a battery, gyro (for a fin-less variant) and timer block

I'm having issues with the small grid merge set up where it doesn't release from its mount. I tried traditional merge blocks and that seemed to work. As far as I can tell my set up is like your example.

I suppose I could but I would need to make a h2 tank and connector for it. I'm still working on a weapons pack atm so maybe in the future.
