UPDATE TO MY LAST POST ON THIS MOD
i made a mistake on my last post, the CE guns mod's github page is abandoned. CE Guns does not have 1.6.

TO USE CE ARMORY AND GUNS:

Go to the github page and click the green button that says "Code" and click Download ZIP.
when you unzip the file, you should have a folder called "CombatExtendedArmors-development" for armory and CombatExtendedArmory-development" for guns.

these folders go into the mods folder in ...\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods and they should just work

@Goboll I have the same question as Retrogam3r_96. How do I actually download the GitHub versions of the various CE mods (guns, armory etc)? None of them seem to have a release available on their GitHub pages. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

been using the dev build pretty much since odyssey released anyone know how to download this one from GitHub plus a few of the other really cool mods they did because I don't see a release build

For those asking for 1.6 -- Check N7's workshop or the CE GitHub, there is a dev build of CE which has 1.6 support.
This mod can likewise be found on GitHub on the link located in the second line of this mod's description, which has 1.6 support.

Putting pressure on modders to update their mods is not helpful. This is not a product you paid for, this is the result of someone's passion for the game which is not strengthened by people acting entitled to, rather than appreciative of, their work. At the very least, you can and should perform your due diligence by looking for dev builds, or even just asking about the newest build on the discord instead of demanding something that will only exist because of the effort of volunteers.

And to stop some answers, tarker's Generic Ammo Fixes for Combat Extended wasn't made for normal/non-generic ammo system.

The SPG-9 can't be crafted from menu.
The SPG-9 can be copied in old saves, but it cannot be built through the menu.

I wonder if it wont collide with Vanilla weapons expanded, as I dont want any DOULBE SMG's that are a bit different but require two different researches to be done

I seem to have an issue where my game crashes while one of the npc pawns shoots the Madsen Machine Gun at a wall. The event that spawned them was hunters passing through. and thats the only one still on the map. I removed this mod and tried loading it, and it stopped the crash. Idk if its an issue with the weapon or just the circumstances but i figured id mention it here.

will you ever make a COmbat Extended Lite? for example where it has everything BUT the need to manufacture ammo? I find that to be by far the largets difficulty tweak this mod inserts into gameplay. i have to focus less on other tasks and more on manufacturing.

For those who can only see the KPV, cannon, ags30 and so on in their security tab, the additional turrets aren't missing despite the research being available. On those gun turrets specified above in the security tab there is a little triangle in the top right corner of the icon that will allow you to change it to the other turrets you have locked. I too thought they were missing but more so hiding in plain sight.

all emplacements are inexplicably missing from the machining table, i can only build the cannon, kpv and ags 30, trough the security tab.

I started getting these errors message on game load. All the weapons in the emplacement category are mentioned. These are the other mods loaded: Prepatcher, Harmony, Faster Game Load, Visual Exceptions, Performance Fish, Startup Impact, HugsLib, Compact Hediffs, Damage Indicators, and Ding on Game Load

"Could not resolve cross-reference: No Verse.DesignatorDropdownGroupDef named CE_HeavyMannedTurrets found to give to Verse.ThingDef Turret_SPGNine"

I'm not sure what to do?
