does this have less M ship slots than the ship its based for balancing reasons?

I think a good solution would be to add more M turrets, since more L turrets really would look odd. In VRO the m turrets tend to be the point defense on most ships, and it at least needs more ways to defend itself if not a higher hp pool. Compared to the whopping 900k range that VRO XL carriers tend to have, as it stands right now this is more expensive than just running VRO's existing light carrier's in the L class that are considerably cheaper with the same hangar capacity, and are much faster and smaller.

While the ship does have 30 M class turrets, the layout makes it more akin to only 14 getting a good firing angle in most directions, with the underside having a rather large blindspot of only 4 able to effectively fire.

2: It is possible to create a battleship with this ship's design as is, or with minor adjustments to the design, but with performance changes such as increased hull values, more turrets, removal of launch tubes, removal of repair capabilities, etc.
However, I am not modeling or XML savvy and do not have the skills to create a beautiful, uniquely designed, excellent custom weapon like the Kitsune in Lint5.

I don't know if I can reflect this, but I am always open to feedback and requests for additional elements.

1: I don't have a detailed grasp of the game balance of VRO, but this ship is a refurbished supply ship, so it is thinly armored, has 3 XL shields, 7 L turrets, 30 M turrets, 2 Main Battery, but also has a reasonably high speed, as well as a carrier s\M ship supply and It also has the ability to refuel and repair S/SM ships as an aircraft carrier. Therefore, the hull value was purposely kept low.
I am wondering what to do because I feel that if we increase the number too much, Tokyo's position will be lost.

As for the turret firing angle issue, I thought I had arranged all 7 L turrets to be able to fire at the front target, but due to my lack of knowledge, there are not many situations where all L turrets actually fire at the same time.
Considering that this ship is an aircraft carrier, not a battleship, I think the firepower is sufficient, but I will consider this as a future issue.

To add to this comment, the upper and lower foward hull is a large amount of flat area which could mount many more M-class. A ship that has low L class but a high amount of M for a close range brawler would be rather unique among the mods and i think work well with the overall shape of the redesign you have made.

I have 2 concerns. 1: Due to the additions the hull is 3x wider and a larger target, but receives a very low amount of health added to compensate. The shape of it also prevents all guns from firing dead foward, resulting in a rather low amount of firepower for a ship of the XL catagory. I would perhaps suggest, since theres limited space for L-class, to add a lot more M-class turrets as the boost there is not that much either.

2: Would it be possible to make a full battleship version in the future? The honshu main hull looks very good and i think could be a good candidate for a torpedo based destroyer + grade capital ship. With all the stuff removed from the auxillary ship it would be reasonable to assume a large ammo magazine could be present, perhaps some custom torpedo main guns such as on the recently published terran frigates?
