One of my favorite mods, really hoping B42 gets its act together so you come back and update this and other amazing mods of yours!

Not gonna lie to you... I haven't even looked at B42 because the news about it was a bit disappointing. I am not so eager to play B42 that I want to play without multiplayer, and I was really hoping they would finish gamepad support before B42 is stable. I see the current B42 unstable as more of an alpha in practice, and I don't really want to get into modding for B42 until it least has finished multiplayer support.

Even if I did start updating mods for B42, I have tons of people who want to see Act Undead, True Music Jukebox, Interface Reflexes, etc... Unfortunately many of the mods I've either created or helped develop are going to be in line ahead of Jumper when I finally do start updating.

Maybe I'll take a look at B42 solo in January but I'm just not in a hurry at the moment.

Alright, thanks for the clarification! Had a look at the player data blob in the database file but could not make any sense of it. Anyways, still a superb mod, will keep using it.

They're part of your player's mod data, so you would need to manually pull that using debug mode. Transferring locations between worlds or save files more easily than that would require someone to work on a patch.

Hmmm I'll look into it. Haven't updated in a long time but it's possible that this is a quirk that was missed. Can you message me on Discord and send me a screenshot of your sandbox options so that I can try to reproduce your issue locally?

My server hasnt been able to use group jumps lately, tried with most options, it use to work though in one of my other iterations. with that one i had the option that only jumpers survived. but now the group jump is only acting like a solo jump.

I may consider it someday, but I'm not modding actively right now. However, it would be fairly straightforward for anyone willing to put in some effort to add that as a patch to this mod.

(@Passersby: taters and I investigated the issue below, and it was related to poor connection causing slow loading of the map when players traveled to faraway locations. There is unfortunately nothing I know how to do to make Zomboid load map data more efficiently, so there is nothing I can do in Jumper to help with that sort of issue, but the mod is working as expected; just make sure your upload speed is good enough for players to load new locations quickly!)

Are you suggesting ALL players on the server experience high ping when one player teleports? I have not observed that behavior, no. When I play with my friends, we all teleport and stuff is loaded within a few seconds. I do not know if it would cause any issues on a larger server with more players as it has not been tested in high population environments. I CAN say, however, that careless mods can cause crashes and exceptions to be thrown when you teleport QUITE easily, especially on gamepad. If you want some help troubleshooting your issue, feel free to contact me via the Project Zomboid Discord, and we can try to get to the bottom of it.

I really like the mod but it doesnt quite work on our server. When we perform a jump, players experience very high ping. Sometimes players jump to a black screen (???). Are these known issues?

For those requesting cooldowns, I have added cost-and-requirement features to the sandbox options! Check it out when you have time!

I have not yet added any skill-based feature for reducing these costs and requirements for frequent jumpers, but I plan to do so in the future.

Shore. Also I added a cost for my own server, so jumping adds 30 stress (and you can't jump if you're over 30 stress, or in a certain amount of pain), and a few other things, in case you want that code.

I believe having the sound play for other players would be replacing your player:playSound("Rifting") with getSoundManager():PlayWorldSound("Rifting", player:getCurrentSquare(), 1.0, 20.0, 1.0, true)

@Dirmagnos: I like the ideas, but I am super tied up with a few other mods right now, so I'm not sure when I'll get to all of that. It is 100% doable, but it takes time that I am currently investing in several other high priority modding endeavors. If you want this urgently, I would be willing to explain how it could be done on Discord. It is fairly easy to write plug-ins for my mods because I make every function accessible through a module. But I may eventually add some sandbox options for making Jumper a little less OP or adding practice effects.

Another suggestion. I dont know how doable it is tho.
Make ability progressive. Initially player can jump every 12 hours, after 30 jumps, it is down to 11, another 40 down to 10, another 50, down to 9, etc.
Idea is that this "ability" is draining on your body mentally, but as you get better at it, you can do it more often.
Plus it adds some element of restriction, so that it would not be too op. And 12 hours is a good balance, allowing player to go jump to some area and then be back home for dinner.

I gotta say, I absolutely love it, by the way. It's incredibly fun. I'm usually a pretty hardcore player, enjoying ultra realism and difficulty increases, but I also like just to have lighthearted fun occasionally. Got this mod mainly for a 'for the lolz' superhero-oriented playthrough and I am having a total blast. Very nice mod.

Alright. I have no idea what it is then, lol. I use a LOT of mods, so it's either a whacky mechanic, or a minor incompatibility somewhere messing literally with my head.

Out of curiosity, does Jumping cause headaches? I keep getting headaches seemingly for no reason and I'm trying to figure out what causes it. (I've seen people mention the Bad Teeth trait in internet discussions about this issue, but I do not have it.)

@ShadetheSilent You cannot yet bring objects with you, but I am considering adding this feature to some degree in the future. Perhaps I could at least allow players to bring a car if they're inside of it. I'll have to look into this. I am currently working on taking the controller support in this mod and expanding it to fixing various vanilla and mod features, but when I finish other stuff on my TODO list, I will plan to come back to this.

Just a suggestion. Add options for "concentration preparation" before jump, during which player cant be disturbed(5-10 seconds). And calories cost for "jumps".

Pushed some new updates; change where new categories appear when selecting Jumper > New Category, reorder locations, and hide various menu options that you rarely or never need!
