@Andr i dont know if this is related with a mod i have but maybe try hovering your mouse over where you placed it and press backspace

@Granted Simple actually, an outline still appears over it when you do hover over it, as for how to find it, move the pieces that are pinned, and look for the centre of rotation, that's where the pin is, and it isn't too small so it's easy to find.
