Did not like it.

The cliffs all around made me feel like I was in a box. So I played for about 5 minutes before I just couldn't stand it anymore.

I really don't understand how these modifications of the great game HL:Alyx can obtain 4-5 stars. It makes it extremely difficult to actually find quality work when people can make maps like this that get too many thumbs up and somehow appear to compete with the very high quality modifications such as Arcane Path or Red Dust. They are *NOT* remotely in the same ballpark.

Oh well, back to the slog of playing through 4-5 star mods that don't deserve the ratings in the hopes of finding those few that do.

FYI - I don't get any pre-Reviver headcrabs, just the ant lions

@drobertbaker thanks for reporting this issue. Haven't heard of that before.
I'll take a look at what could cause that bug.
The Reviver fight is initiated by a simple trigger that fires when the player walks over it.

Although I've tried several replays, I don't get the lightning dog, so I don't get its heart, so I can't get through the gate. I just kill many ant lions, get the eyepiece, and WANDER AROUND UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD. It's fun, but I have to quit. Sorry!

You need the combine eye piece that is hidden in the combine locker
Also may have a look at the playthrough that is in the description
You should prepare yourself before going into that cave

i dont know how i can open the blue energyfield at the outside. What a great map

Maybe your download is incomplete - try to troubleshoot unsubscribe/subscribe
Start the game after download is complete, activate the addon.
It now should appear in Start New Game - Addon Maps

Just made an update to this map
- fixed crashing on pickup of item attached shells
- fixed one Combine occasionally spawning outside in front of player (2nd fight)
- using classic, more aggressive, Combine combat tactics for some Combine

@ricsrem that battery is gone on purpose.
You'll need the Reviver's heart and the battery in the vent above the Combine fabricator

battery that supposed to be in yellow trunk is not there. just 2 mACHINE GUN CLIPS, cant proceed without it

That was a bug and it's ok now ;)

i have watch playthrough of @vincent_g and it's a bug because i have only "fourmies lions" to kill

@λrokh thx for answer, i have kill the reviver and there is no heart, i think i have a bug after die and restart, i will try to restart the level before jump down, thx again for help ;)

Played it but ran into a number of bugs
Go to grab ammo from a dead combine in basement and game crashes.
One time had it crash when fighting the lighting dog
On last battle hands would not hold things - go to pick up something and it falls to floor.
Tried to remove grenade from shot gun couldn't grab it

To get through the gate in the tunnel you have to kill the Reviver and use the heart as the battery.
After you opened the gate, you need to take the heart out again and take it with you.
The second battery is in the vent above the Combine factoring station - climb up the pipes to get it.

i am stuck in the tunnel idk what to do i can't active electricity is someone can help me ? The map is very good great job ;)

Hey, just played the mod, and yeah, it's every bit as hard as I remembered. It was nice coming back to a mod I played awhile ago, it's cool that you updated it. You definitely weren't lying about the difficulty, although I feel like enemies spawn in so frequently that you're basically forced to hunker down in both buildings where the big waves spawn in. It's just hide in a corner, shoot with shotgun/assault rifle, retreat, repeat. It would be nice if there was another exit in the buildings so you could actually escape and hoold out somewhere else, but otherwise it was fun to fight through so many enemies again.
