This is really awesome but It should be separated unit of its own in my opinion. Expansive and more durable/deadly than normal zombies.

somehow just this one in the series cannot coexist with hooveric reskin. I cannot use compatibility mod since using it without the mega mod makes a lot of units invisible

25 turns into campaign and went head to head with Cylostra Direfin before noticing there weren't any pirates. I like the work that went into this mod but can't sacrifice pirate zombies

is there a way to make a version that doesn't change how the pirate zombies look?
while it might work for the vampires count, having the zombie pirates looks like regular soldier zombie seems off.

i usually don't bother with reskins, but i absolutely love how this looks and the extra flavor it adds. Plus it's something i wanted to see for a while rather than the generic zombies from default.

I'm not sure if Elves can be raised as wights because their bodies are so naturally full of magic they're more complicated to raise, but in the End Times when they fight in the vortex the Lore of Death goes into like supernova or something and a fuckton of undead Elves and Dwarfs and Humans and everyone who ever died on the vortex island all rise from the dead for a bit so, maybe.

Silver Pinnacle vampires get a special unit called the unnamed legion that has a mix of cathayen, empire and brettonian models.

Dude this looks dope af. I've never liked the vanilla zombies look or the fact that they're in farmer/peasant clothes or whatever, as if you loose your clothes just because you were resurected as a zombie lol

However, also like I said to Xalderin below, I believe I have a workaround that would enable both more races in a unit, and also mixed units, but I haven't gotten the chance to test it yet. If it works without issues I'll be able to do both of your ideas so we'll hope for the best lol.

The only thing I'm worried about is units not having proper dismemberment or decapitations. I dunno if this will be an issue yet but it might be with the way I'm planning on doing the workaround. I'll update you guys when I get a chance to test it out

Like I said to Xalderin below, the way the game calls for unit models makes it kinda hard to do that. If I tried to mix in Brettonian and Empire models, the game will try to randomly match them together in ways that cause clipping and such. For example, a single zombie could spawn with an empire chest piece but brettonian head and legs. In theory this isn't such a bad thing but it makes for potentially bad situations, such as models clipping, seeing "holes" in models where they don't connect properly etc.

This is why I opted to make Brettonian the melee infantry and empire the rifleman/gunners. Half because of the issue above, and half because Brettonians don't know how to use guns, so I felt it would be more apt to make them the brute force units and make the Empire models the gunners since in life they would have had knowledge of them.

Could the units be mixed? Like, some of the melee units could be brettonian and some empire? It just feels a bit too organised to me, and the image of a zombie horde imo should be more chaotic

I could definitely take a look and try it out. It’ll likely be a bit weird with how units call for their models but I’m pretty sure I know a workaround. I’ll give it a shot when I’ve got some more free time
