The face of a normal 1x1 wedge is slanted over 45 degrees, so using XML to stretch it across a large distance will definitely cause shading problems. Stormworks thinks the wedge face is still at 45 degrees, when in reality, the shape of the angle is closer to being level.
There are a few suggestions I have though..
The front landing gear doesn't seem to work on the ground because the gear spawns sideways. Stormworks is interesting in the way it handles wheels being spawned n any orientation other than straight up and down. This may have also caused you troubles with taxiing the aircraft.
The XML shading on the wings can be distracting from the overall look of the aircraft. There are ways to fix this (using blocks instead of wedges), but it's easier to build in steps instead of trying to make everything smooth.
I also noticed that some bits of invisible parts fall off of the aircraft when spawned in, and there is a random block in front of one of the seats in the right row.
Other than those few things, I especially like the interior of the plane. It's very nicely done.
isn't the skymaster the C-54?
