It originated from a desire to take Golly's CMS18 Interceptor mod and port it to CMS 21 then I remembered my viceral obcession to create mods that gives opportunity to the player to take the original car and transform it into the famous variant.
I'm not the biggest car fan but I know a bunch of people that are and that helped me along the way :-)
@Dante : that's odd... Maybe a piece is in the way, like a piece of trim or the spiky bits... I haven't played with the game for a while so I don't quite remember how it worked...
@Spectre : I don't remember that mod. Maybe you should ask the creator of the mod, as I haven't had the time to mood for a long time...
Best of luck with the other projects!
Now, it's a good opportunity to learn how to mess around with the car editor. Modifying a config is like the easiest part of making a mod plus there's a nice community on the Red Dot Discord chanel ready to help
Engines swaps was a deliberate choice and was made that way because downpipe and exhausts doesn't change with engine swaps. Nothing I can do about that but I've already told the devs this should be a new feature for the next CMS game.
Sorry about that...
I would never have figured it out all by myself
See, with your explanations I've checked the transmission setup on all the variants of the car and turns out it is too long on 3 of them, making it clips through the gearbox. Not an issue when you play in regular or sandbox mode because of the bolt outlines, but when you play in expert mode, there's no outlines, so you simply don't see the bolts but they are there... inside the gearbox.
I've corrected the issue so, it that was what caused it for you, it's fixed now.
Make sure to wait for the download of the fix before launching your game to verify if your issue is resolved.
It's a shame, but understandable. Thank you for the reply! :)
Sadly, those are 1972 Falcons. Different front and back-ends...
I6 and V8 are separated because the exhaustr system isn't the same and we unfortunately can't swap them out... Same for the old V8 (GT variant) and new V8 (Restomod and Interceptor variants)...
The V6 is there only to build a Magnum Opus from the videogame Mad Max (to use with the V6s engine covers). The Magnum Opus has no radiator fan nor air filters, so I didn't add them. Feel free to do so in your custom config and don't forget to share it with the community if you think it's something you can be proud of ;)
