Sorry, y'all. I hadn't updated this mod because I hadn't upgraded Rimworld yet, haha. Updated now, though. For the reference, a mod this simple /shouldn't/ break unless Tynan overhauls the biotech system. You can continue to run it even when it says it's outdated.

Far as I can tell this mod can drop in and run fine on version 1.5 of RimWorld.
The entire thing is xml defs and the game will load the most recent version folder it has which is 1.4

Any word on update plans? If not, I'm willing do the job if needed.
I would like to have this for my next playthrough in the new version, and it makes testing another mod I've adopted quite a bit easier.

I don't know anything about coding or making mods but I compared this mod's files with another gene mod and noticed the mod should be able to work on 1.5 and I managed to get it running with seemingly no issues.

1. Move the Defs folder from /2895151374/v1.4/ to the root folder of the mod (so that you have /2895151374/Defs/ instead)
2. Open /2895151374/About.xml using a text editor (like notepad) and add <li>1.5</li> under <li>1.4</li>
3. Mod should work now and mod managers shouldn't be throwing annoying errors

Anyone who knows more about coding than me, feel free to correct me since I donno wtf I'm doing.

When you apply gay xenogene to a pawn that has gay endogene, the forced trait disappears

@moxie: Get the Hermaphrodite Gene mod. Technically everyone is both sexes then, but you could still make them monogendered.

does it adds that people of the same sex can have a child if no someone can tell me a mod that does pls?
for context i add a mod that allow only one sex of people and no one can make babies and all of the colonist (mine and not mines) are 75 years old lol

I suppose the way for you to implement a (vanilla-based) Heterosexual gene, might be for it to suppress the 'Bisexual', 'Gay' and 'Asexual' traits.

Modesty Gene and More Genes are two mods I'm aware of which should include examples of genes suppressing traits as opposed to enforcing them.

You outta look into the mod Individuality. It adds sexuality apart from traits.

Straight is in the Rational Romance mod and its descendants. The game treats it as default, the absence of any other trait, which is a holdover from when it actually took up one of your three real trait slots. I guess the way to create a heterosexual gene would be to block the other three from spawning in, if that's possible.
