I don't comment on stuff a lot but this is getting ridiculous, it's almost been a month since 1.6 was released and there's still nothing and the modders had access to early developments of it to prepare mods early, at some point you gotta ask wtf they are doing and No laurie the experimental mode does not work for everybody, stop spamming it

@Laurie I have over 200 mods. Guessing you play with the dev branch of Combat Extended and like 5 other mods but for those of us who use a LOT of mods, the dev branch doesn't WORK. It doesn't even let me open my game when I enable it in RimSort. So, happy for you but your experience is not everyone else's. (and FYI, some people refuse to use Development mode as it is pretty much cheating)

I wonder if theres people out there who are currently playing vanilla combat Rimworld now rather than using CE combat. Does it really matter if this page is updated or not because it doesnt make a difference?

Go into Development Mode at the start of your Gravship playthrough and spawn in 200 .ACP FMJ rounds. Do you really need to wait for an update when you can just do that?

The Dev Branch is like.... not compatible with like most the mods that are supposed to work with CE. Otherwise I would use it.

@Trotsky thats the lie of the week.. i wish it was true, but the dev one barely loads and when it does it crashes after about 15 minutes. even when not using any other mods.

It is not abandoned. This is a massive rework that is going to take a lot of time to fix. In the meantime, use the Dev Snapshot version, which works perfectly fine.

@net Same, percentage based combat doesn't sit well with me when it means a mad tortoise can kill someone in full combat armour.

Accuracy and lethality matching the weaponry adds to the overall drama, making combat feel more "realistic"; half-naked tribals should be little more than a nuisance to a space age colony.

Some people here I feel don’t understand how hard it is to make and test a mod of this capacity becuase they are not only adding code but rewriting it so that means it can be hard when a new update comes out so mabye use the dev branch since it works just fine

@AstroPaladin it already is done. Its just some things in the Odyessy DLC that is being done, and its minor stuff where if the mod was abandoned, it wouldnt make a difference to your playthroughs

it takes always takes like 2 months for combat extended to be updated after a major rimworld update, its nothing new, its done when its done, its not abandoned, it just takes a lot of work that people are doing for free.

@Immortan Joe its not abandoned, you just have to use the 1.6 compatible one. When searching for mods, dont forget to check the box show only results for 1.6

Guess this modis never getting updated huh, saw a comment about another mod that is actually updated so yeah getting this mod out of my list for those instead, dissapointing really, if you guys decided to abandon it then just say it

@blackendpizza The whole reason this mod is so essential at least to me is because it physically simulates projectiles and people actually hit things instead of missing a deer 4 times in a row at point-blank range with a hunting rifle. Used to use the other mods for years before getting fed up with how the accuracy of ranged weapons was still broken. I don't even particularly like the ammo system or more "realistic" injuries.

Also I ran CE 1.5 on a 500+ modlist, the "CE is incompatible with everything" narrative is completely out of date and basically just misinformation.

Dont forget that since guns are more powerful in CE, you need to increase the difficulty slider to 500% in order for your enemies to have a chance. They dont have things like KLV machine guns, autocannons and better cover, so you need to give them abit of an advantage for it to be balanced

Rimworld 1.6 and the dlc basically don’t exist/ hasn’t come out yet until combat extended is updated
