May God bless you from now until the end of time.
I was going crazy because of the steering but now i finally have a car that doesn't spin out of control when i drive slightly faster.
Thank you.

Understood

No, it is not inverted. Correct steering direction is set for the wheels that both have the negative toe for positive steering value number, as it is the most intuitive way to install the wheels with suspension in symmetry mode. You can invert the steering axis input value, or if you are using the wheels without suspension, you can just rotate them 180 degrees.

It appears that the steering is inverted, how do I change it?

do i set the linear speed sensor to directional or absolute?

Based on my testing, the Ackermann steering slightly reduces the turning radius only at low speeds, when the tires do not slip and smoke. But most often steering effect of this feature is negligible and the position of the center of mass is much more important for better turn control.

oh yeah sorry forgot to delete the comment it was a weight issue, incredible what just a little bit of weight inbalance on a light weight car can do. But thanks on the fast answer anyways, btw it's written on the post that ackerman steering doesn't change much cause of the game physics, is that really the case, what kind of hoping this would make my turns better.
Uran_Wind  [autor] 15 JUN 2023 a las 15:35
Compare the numbers on the wheel nodes, they should be equal in modulus unless you are using Ackerman steering.

For some reason it seems like my vehicles turns better to the right then the left. Just to be clear it's not something wrong with the vehicle itself it's something in the your microcontroller which I probably set up wrong but I wonder if you know what that might be. When I put the A/D command straight from the seat to the wheels the vehicles is capable of turning equally to both sides.
Uran_Wind  [autor] 14 MAY 2023 a las 11:26
Yes, although the Ackermann steering has almost no effect on the turning radius due to in-game wheel physics and is only for visual effect.

do i understand it correctly, that the track width should be the amount of blocks that fit between the wheels plus 1, and the wheelbase the amount of blocks between the axles plus 1? at least thats how its set up in your example

There is my drivetrain controller with smooth brakes.
aeroNes 6 MAY 2023 a las 0:59
@Uran_Wind are there any controlers that are compatablie with yours that add soft braking?
Uran_Wind  [autor] 5 MAY 2023 a las 17:53
It is just a steering controller, there are no brakes in it.
aeroNes 5 MAY 2023 a las 6:58
cant even soft brake or i connected ti wrong
