Is there a way to just import a png file of a map onto the table instead of using oneWorld?

Doesn't work, oneWorld is almost completely broken and has caused multiple crashes if I try to have more than one map loaded. The grid lines and fog of war just don't work at all. I am struggling to see how this is the top rated DnD app

@Jarroach937, Any handout images you can import by pasting the image url into a custom tile. To do this, you can go to games -> components -> custom -> custom tile and paste in the image url. For maps, on the DM side you can paste them into the blank map by One World and drop them in to the tool to show them as a Map. You can find the images on google or go to 5etools.com .

Love the mod quality, great work. Me and some friends would like to start a Curse of Strahd campaign, and we were wondering if the mod currently has any way to import the files for the campaign book so we can look at in game. Thanks!

Do you get this error when starting the mod from the workshop tab or is this only happening with a save? Regardless it looks like something got corrupted. Judging from the screenshot and log it looks like the DND books link. (I checked the book links they're still good). You can try any of the following:

I would first verify game files. Right Click Tabletop Simulator in Steam library -> Properties -> Installed Games -> Verify Game Installed Files.

If that doesn't work, you could try disabling mod caching and mod threading and restarting Tabletop/Steam.

Try reinstalling the mod by hitting Unsubscribe in the Steam mod page, then in game, hover over the mod thumbnail -> click on the three dots -> click delete. Then hit subscribe on the mod page again.

My last suggestion is to make a backup copy of you WorkshopFileInfos.json and SaveFileInfos.json file from your Documents\My Games\Tabletop Simulator\Mods and \Saves folders, then delete them and restart steam.

I downloaded this mod to DM but I'm having an issue on save. Some sort of json formatting error.
The save will show up when I go to games, but when I try to load, I get an error saying that an image file isn't in the correct format w/ a url to some steam link.
Looks like the same link that's in the popup I get when I start the server asking for some pdf.
Do you have any info on what I'm dealing with?

@Vos, Change your color to black. On the bottom right of the DM's play area there is a tool called One World. Press the lock button to start using it. In front of it there is a black bag with blank maps, drag one out then right click -> custom -> paste the url or browse for the image you want to use. After you import the image, name it but keep the SBx_ prefix, and drag it onto the tool.

In the description of this page there is an F.A.Q. with tutorial videos if you want to learn how to use it more in depth.

@Salgadinson II, Yes, any future content such as magic items, spells, feats, classes, subclasses, statblocks, etc. will be made into cards. Such as the upcoming Eberron and Forgotten Realms books. I'll try my best to add the books themselves, but no promises on that.

I figured it out, I just loaded the card mode and copied all of the statblocks into a bag and brought it over to the table, thank you so much for the response tho

@Salgadinson II, No, it has cards for every player option, spells, and the essential DM source books. However, if you want all the adventures, you can spawn an iPad from the components tab and go to this website: https://5e.tools/adventures.html .

@JellyKing, There should only be 1 stack of cards inside the Humanoid box. Inside the big Red Creatures box should also be three stack of cards, these stacks are every single creature card in the game grouped together by how big their statblocks are, which should also include the Humanoids.

The current version of the mod is 109. To make sure you are using the latest version, however your mouse cursor over the thumbnail of the DND Game table mod. If it says "6/1/2025 5:04:12 PM", that's the date of the last update.

Hi, thank you for your response, im pretty sure my mod is up to date but I still can't seem to get the humanoid statblocks to work. All the other statblocks are working but when I take out the humanoid section of statblocks from the creatures binder it shows there are 21 inside but when placed on the table it changes to zero.

update: our GM flipped the table and then loaded a save and now all the stray UI things are gone! So if anyone else runs into this bug, just save and reload i guess

hi! We've run into a pretty persistent but unpredictable bug where huge UI elements appear, covering most of the table, mostly but not always triggered by opening one of the player drawers. Mostly it's DM-related stuff, sometimes it's just many, many text fields. Is there a fix?

I'm having a lot of trouble understanding most of these tools, it definitely is working for me for a more "basic usage", but it would help a LOT if i could get some help, is there a community of people who use this that could perhaps help me understanding some of the tools?

im trying to put together a game for me and my friends and im looking for statblocks but majority of the creature statblocks just don't show up, it says there are x number in the bag then I spawn it and then it goes to 0. Some of the statblocks actually show up but humanoid and undead are not showing up for me. Just wanting the statblocks to work so I don't have to make custom ones for things I know have them, is there a fix that I can do on my end?

@Japat, I'm working on importing all of the Monster Manual 2025 stat blocks, I've just been sick so my work on making them had slowed down (there's also 500+ so it's a lot).

Hey, I started using this recently, but I realized that the statblocks for humanoids, aberrations, undead, and celestials are empty. They can be added in homebrew, but to report that they are missing, a greeting and thanks for the table, it's 10/10.

@gbhsol, Did your DM create a hidden zone and set it to Black? Anything inside a hidden zone disappears except for the DM and the Player of that color.

Also, uninteractable as in you get a message telling you, if not maybe the DM locked them? Also have the host check the permissions of the table, depending what they are that could prevent players from interacting with certain things.

And just in case I have to say it, make sure everyone picked a color and they're not grey spectators.

Hey, me and my friends are using this for our DnD session, but for some reason, only the DM can interact with the board in the middle. Any minis or board that goes into the middle portion just disappears and becomes uninteractable to the players, only the DM can interact with it

@Argeos, Lagging spawning dice could be an internet lag issue or it could be that your host has autosave on, which can cause the game to lag spike as often as the save frequency they have it set to. I suggest looking into that just in case, see FAQ.

As for the large text bug, that's something I can't really fix either. The bug happens due to load order of the objects, which is different for some people due to desync, or high ping/lag. My best advice for fixing that is to do any of the following:
1. Have the host restart the session.
2. Copy the item, delete, then paste/re spawn it back in.
3. Drag the item into a bag object, like the chests for example, and drag it back out. (Try maybe dragging the notebook into a chest before saving and leaving, and drag it back out when the session starts?)

Me and my party love playing Dnd using this, however we keep encounter some really strange bugs.

1) Sometimes, dice completely become unusable, spawning them is very inconsistent (having to spam 30 times to spawn one die), adding the modifier doesn't apply and goes over the text?

2) Notepads, sometimes when we launch the save it will put text from a random notepad that's on the table over an object? Seemingly merging them, making it very difficult to select what we want to select.

I'm pretty sure the dice issue is related to lag, but help with both of these or how to avoid them would be greatly appreciated

Found another bug. On the Bastion Sheet, when updating the the "Bastion Level", "Total Hirelings" and "Bastion Defenders" with the + or - it changes the left basic facility tabs.

@SULLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, Thanks for letting me know, I fixed both the spells slots and resource tracker on the sheets.
My players are having issues with the resource trackers both the old (stand-alone ones) and the new inbuilt ones into the character sheet. They keep resting to a different number after save. As does the spell slots tracker, it resets to max spell slots after save (as if long rested). Is this a known bug or something that is happening on my table/save? Thanks :D:

@no., Click Games on the top, Save & Load -> Save Game -> Name the save whatever you want. When you want to load the game up, click on the the save slot to load up last session.

@legojedijay, There is nothing in this mod and there are no plans to add one. I suggest making maps by using mods from other people in the workshop.

Personally, I either take a map off of google, put it into the one world tool on the table, and use something like Saught's Assets to add 3D props to it, or I use full 3D maps like the ones I've been uploading.
