i actually really love the idea of ya'll using vscript to change the visuals during smissmas, it's a shame that valve pretty much just hand waved the idea

ik, its really weird. We offered to like redo it to be less smissmas-y or like set up some vscript thatd switch stuff up when smissmas was enabled but Mr Smith said it was "fine"

Deer are a normal occurrence in maine which this map is themed in. It just so happens in the wilderness you might see one!

Especially the trees in the far background. They seem to get rendered almost everywhere. Which may be the issue for the drops in frames.

Any chance of more optimizations with the map? Its rendering a lot of things "out of sight" that should not be rendered in the first place. You could see the dip of performance in BLU spawn for instance. More optimization the better

Valve didn't pack the some of the custom models. It will be fixed next update.

The lighting in the final point area is rather dull, dark and bland. I really think you should make it brighter and more colorful, like a yellowish tint maybe. Otherwise, the detailing on this map is pretty solid, I hope Valve fixes the missing props and maybe it can become a year-round map.

I'm not sure if this is issue is for me only but there's either an invisible wall or an invisible object on the last point on the left side of a doorway (also congrats on getting the map added)

Definitely my favorite of the update. Valve seems allergic to summer maps, and they straight up called this one "Rumford" instead of Rumford Event or Snowy Rumford or anything like that, so I'm guessing they have no plans of adding the year-round variant, which is such a shame. Either way though, congrats!

id rather have the original too, but I don't mind making it snowy! For what it's worth I implemented a lot of optimization fixes and a ton of new assets like snowy rocks and trees! There's new particles, and even a secret for those who find all the deers!

i agree ztyhe but it's probably got something to do with the fact that valve only adds mas on halloween and christmas so now every map in the workshop is getting an obligatory christmas re-artpass
