Updated with direct link. Copy and Paste it.
Steam messes it up if you click it.
I've sent an access request.
Just posted it in discussions.
This was an important tool for me. Can't believe they haven't included something like this in game yet.
By didn't do miracles I mean that I have just saved with the same name every time I made changes, so I have a lot of presets with the default names (Watch Officer, Gunner etc.) But the good news is that they are all overwritten when I save, so it doesn't matter if I choose the first, one in the middle or the last, they are all the same now :-) But on a new career I don't have to worry about that mess.
It's not out of the question but the last time I tried that it wasn't reliable enough to use.
Additionally, you can delete presets for Crew Task by deleting all of the crew groups and making new ones, or at least that's how it used to work.
E.g. once the officer goes to rest, the sailors are released too. That's not working well in the game.
And that once an officer is on the lookout, the sailors not attached to officer leave the lookout as they are of no use anymore. Similar like it is with engine
Such stuff....
So you're saying that when you talk to the lead officer the options in the lower portion of the screen numbered 1-6 are missing?
Is this happening on a new game, coming back to port after a mission, both?
Is the space just black? If you click in the space where an option would be does it do anything?
I don't understand what you mean. Can you post a screenshot in the Bug Reports Thread I just created?
No they are part of the save file. No way to export them seemingly due to security restrictions within Uboat's modding SDK.
It should be possible. I can dump them to the log file. But as soon as I start trying to write out a file or mess with the file system in any way (like creating a folder) the game just refuses to load the mod. It compiles and should work but just won't load, thus I assume it's a security restriction.
Great to hear!
Maker sure you check a custom role and not one of the default presets. Deleting is disabled for the defaults to avoid potential issues.
If there's a mod conflict it's hopefully something I can solve.
Subscribed and tested the version on the workshop with b131 just now and it's working. I don't have access to 2022.1 yet, but McDewgle tested it and it was working.
Check AppData\LocalLow\Deep Water Studio\UBOAT\output_log.txt
You should see two lines near the top:
[Officer Roles Management QOL Improvements] Loading, version: 1.0.0
[Officer Roles Management QOL Improvements] Patches applied!
If you see those lines the mod loaded correctly, if you don't it didn't.
