not sure whats causing this, and this worked before, i have not added any extra mods but randomly the icons for backstories and traits simply dont appear? the game works fine but i really enjoy the icons, it may be that another mod that adds traits isnt supported? but it worked before as it just had the mod icon next to it, not sure what is causing this

No, according to their page and my own memory that wasn't the case, it changed in my colony midgame. Thanks for the answer, I'll investigate!

@Turambar, no, all this mod changes is the UI, VPE might be responsable, i think with VPE Artistic must be unlocked separately

I recently added this mod, and I also noticed all new pawns never have the Artistic meditation focus (I use VPE), even though they should. Other foci are granted correctly.

Could this be caused by this mod?

- Settings Preview now shows backstories.
- Settings Preview while in-game uses full tool tip.
- Settings Preview tool tip shows special information on certain traits and icons, specifically revealing "name in game" information and traits added.
- Traits and backstories with zero commonality are coloured golden yellow, unless coloured in genetic blue or creep joiner anomaly green, this means modded traits given exclusivelly by special events are highlighted.
- Biotech only: aptitude (skill offset) gene icons now used for "name in game" backstories with no other icon.
- Biotech only: traits with no icon but corresponding gene now use their gene's icon, as a side-effect, any mod that adds genes that correspond to traits is automatically supported.
- Royalty only: backstories that provide meditation focus are now coloured in meditative green.

@numa.ec there seams to be a three way compatibility problem, some other mod is causing it please use log publisher to post logs, i need the full log to know what caused the error

Petition to change the asexual (ace) icon to a spade (like "ace" of spades) instead! At least for when using Way Better Romance as asexual pawns are able to have a romance with that mod (still don't engage in lovin').

- Added [SYR] Individuality (Continued)
- Added a preview in settings
- Added an option to show the mod icon even if it is the default puzzle piece (note the icon can still fallback to the puzzle piece if no icon is set)
- Fixed mod icons not defined in the About.xml not being recognised

To anyone that has Delta1138's problem: you can disable the mod icon in the mod settings.
As for SYR Individuality, will be fixed sometime before 1.6 (and retroactively for those in 1.5)

@AlmostMidnight you can do this in the meantime by copy and pasting the syrchalis.individuality folder containing the icons in this mod into 2873494547\Common\Textures\UI\TraitIcons and renaming the folder to mlie.syrindividuality

@superniqui10 for the Moloy traits, it's also pulling across the mod icon and I can't seem to see a reason why so the trait ends up with 2 icons (the intended and the 'M' mlie icon). This is an interesting mod!

@superniqui10: Always a fun time when things break! :lunar2019crylaughingpig: Do you know what changes would need to be made exactly? I want to see if it is something I can patch on my end. I saw your comment on their mod page, so I assume I could just unpatch their Harmony patch? Or is it a little more involved? Awesome work on making things more compatible going forward, and thanks for the invaluable eye-candy this brings! :love:

Yes, it appears that a change in my code in order to increase compatibility broke existing compatibility patches, should be an easy fix on the other devs end (as it only involves removing the special case code)

Just to confirm, yes, both this mod and the Numbers Trait AddOn were working [i.imgur.com] together a few weeks ago. Will have to test and try figure out what the issue is, but I do see this got updated recently so just wondering if it may have caused it?

Did anything changed recently? I could have sworn this used to be coloured before with Numbers Trait AddOn but now they are not coloured. Is there a way to get a customised list of colours for them if not?

1.5 Support.
Added Icons to the Biotech growth moment Letter.
Added expansion and mod icons to traits and backstories (can be turned off).
Added settings menu.
Fixed [LCK] Add-On for Vanilla Traits Expanded Herbalist. (Thanks @Lucky for noticing)
Added new icons for backstory categories (including some of the new 1.5 ones).
Made all icons 64x64.

Backstory icons are chosen on the fly for every backstory based on: Meditation Focus, Forced Traits, part of a solid bio, Culture Tags (Outlander, Tribal, Empire, etc.). With special icons for children, colony-raised adults, and androids.

@INST1NCT the packageId on the mods are wrong, they have a "_steam" suffix at the end that is causing the issues, rimworld thinks they are not the right mods and therefore does not load the icons for them. I think it is because they are a local copy created by rimpy or a similar tool

@superniqui10 Sorry for late response! I have checked and there are no icons for Vanilla Traits Expanded and its Add-On. "What's That Mod" doesn't show where one's trait from. There are no names in traits descriptions for pawns edited in EdB Prepare Carefully.

Was just going thru my startup debug and I noticed the traits Kensei, Samurai, Way of the Bow, and Ronin don't have any icons.

Would it be possible to get icons for RJW? I just use RJW not the rest of the stuff like the textures, I find it does a better job at mechanic wise for a more realistic rimworld,

The Backstory Icons are bugged for me. They are inside the Text, so I'd like a option to turn them off too.
