I fixed it for myself by removing the map_modes folder from this mod's structure.
- on the same drive your Imperator is installed find: Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\859580\2871653789
(Steam is usually found in some Program Files folder, unless you specifically changed your directory)
- Delete the "gui" folder
- Enter the "gfx" folder
- Delete the "icons" and "interface" folder
I can't be certain this doesn't break EGL in any way, I haven't actually played for an extended amount of time with this change. In particular this mod's own settings menu might not work, but so far as I can tell this brings back Better UI's settings menu button and the default colored UI.
