Haven't experienced that at all. In fact, I've had it where I control all the meganations.

This mod will make you lose the game btw. Servants will have unchallenged cp and will take over the world faster than you.

SigmaSquadron 1 aug. 2023 la 17:25
Note: In the 0.3.101 update, there is now a campaign start option that allows the player to increase the starting CP cap up to 1250.

yes

Does this mod still work?
Okabe Rintaro 13 nov. 2022 la 0:56

HAAANK HAAANK DON'T ABREVIATE CONTROL POINTS
Barracuda 25 oct. 2022 la 11:44
Can confirm doing umbaretz's suggestion fixed the issue of the starting cap not working. Research bonuses worked from the start after doing the dance with installing mods right now. Hope the developers fix the issues with the launcher.
Fgog 24 oct. 2022 la 18:29
Hey, has anyone experienced any issues with this mod causing problems with the alien hate counter? I'm only running this one mod and looks like alien hate might have gotten stuck
umbaretz 24 oct. 2022 la 11:10
I don't know hot it helped, but adding commas in the TIEffectTemplate file of the mod helped.
Like this:
"dataName": "Effect_ControlPointMaintenanceBonus40",
/* 25 in base game */
"value": -40,
Water polo, carbonated fist. 23 oct. 2022 la 4:11
I don't think this works anymore.
cosmic 15 oct. 2022 la 2:26
ugh ok.

"The +50 still works, but I had to delete my mods folder, redownload the mod, and restart game, load my save, quit the game, restart the game again."

I did this and it worked. It also fixed the management research project values that were actually at 5 for me the whole time.

It's confusing that half of this mod worked at the start lol what in tarnation.
cosmic 14 oct. 2022 la 16:36
yeah tried unsubbing, resubbing, enabling and restarting the game, pretty much followed what you got here to the T but now I can't get this to activate again. bummer, I'm tired of servants and protectorate railing me and this was helping greatly.
cosmic 14 oct. 2022 la 16:12
lol for me its the other way around. the +50 bonus works, but the tech bonus doesn't work.

I just loaded a game up and I lost that +50 bonus too :l
JonathanFly  [autor] 13 oct. 2022 la 15:52
The +50 still works, but I had to delete my mods folder, redownload the mod, and restart game, load my save, quit the game, restart the game again.
ЧАЕВОД 13 oct. 2022 la 2:40
it work, but not full, start +50 dont work, tech bonus work
Ж Taeryc Ж 12 oct. 2022 la 9:40
They changed how control points are handled in the files, yes.
Deathbringer21 11 oct. 2022 la 23:31
This mod doesn't work whatsoever, not sure if the new update made it stop working but I've tried everything. Reinstalled it like 4 times both from inside the game, deleting the folders everything. Just refuses to work
JonathanFly  [autor] 9 oct. 2022 la 15:35
I'm in the TI discord, same name, you can send saved game files there, but I'm 99% sure the problem is that TI mods are just buggy and you have constantly delete, redownload, restart until they kick in.
JonathanFly  [autor] 9 oct. 2022 la 15:32
@A Flying Purple People Eater You can't just disable it. I think you have to delete the folders C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Terra Invicta\Mods\Disabled and C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Terra Invicta\Mods\Enabled and this will force the game apply the mod again.
A Flying Purple People Eater 9 oct. 2022 la 15:29
I've got screenshots to show you but I don't actually know how to send them
A Flying Purple People Eater 9 oct. 2022 la 15:18
Oh I did disable mods and try again, and the CP cap was even lower for all factions and even the servants were over the cap as well. So the mod still has an effect, something just changed to lower all the cp caps across the board
JonathanFly  [autor] 9 oct. 2022 la 15:10
@A Flying Purple People Eater I bet the stopped working because of the recent game update 3 hours ago. If you delete your mods_enabled and mods_disabled folder and redownload, it should kick in again.
A Flying Purple People Eater 9 oct. 2022 la 15:00
It's still higher than the base but all factions are roughly 50 points over
A Flying Purple People Eater 9 oct. 2022 la 14:57
I don't know if you changed anything but now in my game every single faction except for the servants who I was beating up is above their CP cap
事不过三兄ToumanRin 9 oct. 2022 la 12:36
👌it works
JonathanFly  [autor] 9 oct. 2022 la 11:58
@事不过三兄Philibert Try deleted your mods_enabled and mods_disabled folders, then redownload the mod. I think this happens when TI gets an update.
事不过三兄ToumanRin 9 oct. 2022 la 0:00
Why it doesn't work?? I enabled it in the menu, but it doesn't work. When I start a new game the begin cap is still 100
Bootleg Chauncey 7 oct. 2022 la 16:28
The mod works for me after the latest patch.
Plundererking 6 oct. 2022 la 9:35
Can I still get achievements if I use this mod for a game?
Hebrux 6 oct. 2022 la 9:05
@Kolarded, this mod isn't a requirement. It's optional for people who want to worry less about the CP cap
Kolarded 6 oct. 2022 la 4:23
Very poorrly designed mod. the game has lots of ways to increase CP cap. You dont need to make the game so easy
nephilimnexus 3 oct. 2022 la 14:09
I raised my limit to +1000 per tech level.
*insert evil genius laughter*
THE WORLD IS MINE!
Armedwithpuns 3 oct. 2022 la 10:36
also I should say, disabling, restarting, enabling, and restarting should make that version of the game work, but deleting the Terra Invicta>mods folder then reinstalling them from the game's main menu seems to be the only way to update the mod properly
JonathanFly  [autor] 3 oct. 2022 la 1:49
Yeah, my guess is that Steam when Steam updates the game it wipes out all the mod changes, so you have to disable the mod, restart game, enable mod, restart game.
Shadow 3 oct. 2022 la 0:02
I didn't download a mod but for anyone having issues the reason why is probably because they released another patch today and changed a bunch of the values for CP gain from the techs.
A Lvl 1 Slime 2 oct. 2022 la 21:38
So if you randomly have way less CP, try disabling the mod, restarting the game, then re-enabling the mod, and restarting the game. I also reloaded my save after each step but I don't think that was necessary
jwhardenus 2 oct. 2022 la 20:06
So I had the mod working, played for hours, saved and quit started game again and mods not working. Can't get to work. Edited Effect_ControlPointMaintenanceBonus3 changed 3 to 5. restart game no change in control points. So current save is unplayable as CP I can control is way less than what I have.
Capnbludd 2 oct. 2022 la 18:50
Thanks Jon
Jeff 2 oct. 2022 la 15:24
You're right on mods being really buggy. this one wasn't working till i disabled it in game, then it started working. But when i restarted the game it stopped working again, now i can't get it working at all.
JonathanFly  [autor] 2 oct. 2022 la 14:36
@SGT_Aserkill It's in TIGlobalConfig.json. If you are editing the real game file then you have to add it as a new line, you won't fine 100 in there anywhere. In the mod it looks like this:

[{
"dataName": "globalConfig",
"controlPointMaintenanceFreebies": 150
}]
JonathanFly  [autor] 2 oct. 2022 la 14:33
@Capnbludd It will still say 5, because descriptions can't be updated in mods right now, unless you manually copy over the localization files.
Capnbludd 2 oct. 2022 la 13:01
If it's working should the description say 'increase by 10' or does it still say 'increase by 5' and just give you the 10 when it completes?
Aserkill 2 oct. 2022 la 7:28
so i downloaded notepad++ to edit those XML files, where exactly is the line of code with the starting CP? i prefer to not wreck the code too badly
JonathanFly  [autor] 2 oct. 2022 la 2:01
@Tabacco I updated the description of where to change starting CP. It's not in the template file, but if you poke through the C# assembly DLL you can find some variables that will work as mods if you add them into files like this.
JonathanFly  [autor] 1 oct. 2022 la 20:45
If the mod isn't working and you just want to play with more CP, you can edit the real config file in the game directory. The filename is the same as the file in the mod folder, in the /templates, search for the same value in the mod folder, 'Effect_ControlPointMaintenanceBonus3'.

It looks like it's being officially increased from +3 to +5 in the next TI patch as well.
Spencer Huston 1 oct. 2022 la 18:38
was able to get mods to work once by wiping the mods folder and then reinstalling but the restart after the first one they were busted again
Toki 1 oct. 2022 la 13:41
For anyone who's having trouble with mods- workshop and the game are not integrated for some people.

You have to find the mod in the workshop folder (steamapps/workshop/content/xxxxx) and put it in the game folder (steamapps/common/Terra Invicta/mods/disabled)

Enable it in the menu.
