Hello! Please update mod for version 1.55 ASAP. Thank you!

Drive Safely  [author] 22 Apr @ 12:39pm
@Romarus - Yes it's compatible :)
Romarus 22 Apr @ 7:12am
Thank you for this work! Could you tell me please, is this mod compatible with Engine Soumd Pack by Traingui_modding? https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2534995736
VaeliusNoctu 14 Apr @ 1:09pm
Ah ok, i see thx.
Drive Safely  [author] 14 Apr @ 12:58pm
@VaeliusNoctu - Make sure to turn off "Stable volume" in the Youtube settings for these comparisons. The main difference this mod gives is that the sound from the interior camera view is never louder than the sound from exterior camera views
VaeliusNoctu 14 Apr @ 7:00am
I checked your video...but whats the differenze between vanilla and your mod? Outside a bit louder then inside?
Drive Safely  [author] 19 Dec, 2024 @ 10:10pm
@Superklez - No difference, unless another enabled mod was overwriting the soundproofing for the trucks in the base game
Superklez 19 Dec, 2024 @ 5:33pm
I know it says in the notes that I can put this mod on low priority, but is there any difference if I put it on top of all your other sound mods than in the bottom?
Drive Safely  [author] 18 Dec, 2024 @ 11:14am
@juanredman - Yes! :)
juanredman 18 Dec, 2024 @ 4:24am
Hi is this mod compatiable with 1.53 ? Thanks
Drive Safely  [author] 24 Aug, 2024 @ 1:52am
@Dominik - It's up to you to decide. I've included a video that compares it with the default soundproofing if you want to check it out :)
Dominik 24 Aug, 2024 @ 1:41am
This mod better than sound proofing by Sherman?
Drive Safely  [author] 17 Jun, 2024 @ 3:18pm
@GrayDawg - Just for SCS default trucks, but another mod maker has made a mod to support various mod trucks. Try this if you're interested: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3082545767
GrayDawg 17 Jun, 2024 @ 6:12am
Is this just for SCS default trucks, or does it work with mod trucks as well?
Drive Safely  [author] 16 Jun, 2024 @ 4:16pm
I have just uploaded a video comparison - vanilla vs the mod :)
juanredman 18 May, 2024 @ 7:00pm
Thanks so much
Drive Safely  [author] 17 May, 2024 @ 3:05pm
@juanredman - No update required. It's compatible with 1.50 :)
juanredman 17 May, 2024 @ 5:40am
Hi does this mod need update to 1.50 update ?
Drive Safely  [author] 3 Mar, 2024 @ 5:11pm
@Herr Lauert - Pleased to hear that! :steamthumbsup: Enjoy!! :D
m3L0 3 Mar, 2024 @ 4:04pm
Holy fuck. What can I say? It works wonderfully! My only worry was that I wouldn't be able to hear any more sounds, but that's not the case at all! I can hear even more than before and that's the best thing about it! THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS! Thank you very much indeed. Now I can use Kriechbaum's engines again without setting the sound low (50% all truck engine sounds)
Drive Safely  [author] 3 Mar, 2024 @ 2:25pm
@Herr Lauert - That reminds me I need to record a before/after comparison video for this. But yes the mod solves the loudness problem from the interior view. :)
m3L0 3 Mar, 2024 @ 2:10pm
Awesome! Yes, I'm currently only playing with the default trucks from SCS. I'm curious to see if I'm happy with the result. It's a pity because some engines sound way too loud in the cabin, even if I set all truck engine sounds to 50% or 40%, but that's also a solution. I would also leave it at 50% and just want to have it as your mod promises. Louder outside but quieter in the cabin with the windows closed.
Drive Safely  [author] 3 Mar, 2024 @ 1:31pm
@Herr Lauert - Yes as long as it's for the default selection of playable trucks. For modded trucks, you may find this extended mod by Oxferd helpful: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3082545767

Both our mods are compatible with the sound effects from the Interior Noise Mod (ATS) and the Peterbilt Interior & Effect Sound Pack by Zeemod. Just put the Previous soundproofing with higher priority than those mods if you want the soundproofing from this mod :)
m3L0 3 Mar, 2024 @ 7:48am
@Drive Safely Wow! This could perhaps solve my problem with the too loud engines from Kriechbaum, so I'm using others for now. I just have a few questions. I only use two interior sounds from Zeemods, Zeemods Peterbilt Effects and Zeemod Interior Noises but no engine sounds from Zeemods. I would like to use Kriechbaum's engines again but it happens exactly what you describe in your info. The engine sound is much too loud in the cabin, as if the engine was sitting directly in the cabin.

Would your mod solve the problem with the Kriechbaum engines being too loud? Does it affect the interior sounds of Zeemods? Thank you very much for your answer.

@juanredman - Yes :)
juanredman 24 Nov, 2023 @ 10:08am
Hi will this mod work with 1.49 ?

(OTR) 0xferd™ 24 Sep, 2023 @ 7:17pm
@Drive Safely

You are very welcome, I would have to thank you for uploading the mod! :steamhappy:
Drive Safely  [author] 24 Sep, 2023 @ 3:07pm
@0xferd™ - Of course, you have my permission to use the files in the mod. Thanks for making use of it to extend it to other trucks :)
(OTR) 0xferd™ 24 Sep, 2023 @ 7:32am
Hey @Drive Safely I created an addon that extends this mod for modded trucks, but I was thinking of uploading a copy of it to the SCS forums, is it ok with you that I upload my extended version of this mod to the SCS forums under sound?

I'll credit you of course.
Just thought I ask you before I uploaded the extended version of your mod (only supports modded trucks, doesn't conflict with the SCS trucks)
FilMit 4 Aug, 2023 @ 10:20am
Thank you!
Just today I was going to go to Oklahoma on this Volvo for the first time)
Drive Safely  [author] 4 Aug, 2023 @ 4:38am
I changed up the soundproofing for the 2018 Volvo VNL. Feels more comfortable to me now in 1.48
Drive Safely  [author] 23 Jul, 2023 @ 3:39am
@FilMit - It is very loudly mixed. I'm waiting for 1.48 to release before making new changes to its soundproofing - in case the engine sound gets changed further.
FilMit 23 Jul, 2023 @ 2:18am
It seems to me that the sound of the Volvo VNL 2018 is very loud, very loud...
Drive Safely  [author] 10 Jul, 2023 @ 3:04pm
@BluSxbaru - Yes it does. :) Roll down both windows and you'll notice the in-cabin engine sound is more toned down compared to default
ExistingUSer 10 Jul, 2023 @ 12:06pm
Does this work for the new Volvo VNL? I've placed it at the top of the mod priority list but I hear no difference-
HU1212ICAN3 12 Apr, 2023 @ 1:18pm
Thanks! It does sound like its working!
Drive Safely  [author] 12 Apr, 2023 @ 1:01pm
@HU1212ICAN3 - It's compatible with 1.47. No update needed :)
HU1212ICAN3 12 Apr, 2023 @ 10:54am
will this have or need an update for 1.47?
Drive Safely  [author] 24 Jan, 2023 @ 3:00pm
@vaidanispol - If the custom engine sound brings its own soundproofing for the truck then that can override what this mod provides. Sometimes a sound mod won't have its own soundproofing so yes it can make sense to use this alongside it.

You can put this mod with low priority in the load order - it doesn't have to be above most mods like the Sound Fixes Pack does. :)
vaidanispol 24 Jan, 2023 @ 10:56am
@Hi drivesafely, thnx a lot for your contribution. One question, is this still valid? Does it make sense to use it with custom engine sounds, and if yes where in the load order? Also in relation to the sound fixes pack. Thanks in advance!
Drive Safely  [author] 19 Jan, 2023 @ 1:19pm
@Penumbra1979 - Glad to hear you like it :)
Penumbra1979 19 Jan, 2023 @ 1:02pm
@YouDriveSafely
This does wonders for overall audio balance.
Thank you.

@mpie - Thank you :) :steamthumbsup:
mpie 28 Sep, 2022 @ 2:24pm
Oh, this is sweet! 👍🏻 Very subtle. But gone is that feeling due to the stock settings as if the windows don't close perfectly. 😅
