this is the general ranking. Also, regarding Doc Sourge's comment, opening crates is gambling to begin with, so it doesnt matter at all if you get "lucky" and get an unusual. It leaves room for the more nicer effects to be valued higher. Just means you have to get luckier!
Why? There are no "tiers" to Unusual effects, unlike the tiers to items in cosmetic cases.
I wonder, would it be possible to make a fireflies version with luminescent green abdomens?
