ill have to do some tests, but it appears to be broken, at least in my setup- the columns are all unplaceable >.<

Will this mod be updated to 1.4?

I also get the spamming error Exception in UIRootUpdate: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
which prevents placing more than 1 industrial column -S

Once I place a Column, it the second blueprint wont be placeable at all and invisible (unless I hover it on top another structure/furniture). Selecting/placing other building does not relieve this, although restarting the game 'might' fixes this. Another side note, I didnt expect Infestation on my plain base, but it does under the column.

Getting this error spamming log endlessly when selecting. Can no longer place columns. https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/4daf58c3d8a47f68573da217e50ee83e

I'm not sure if I messed something up but I can't seem to place the columns anywhere?
It only shows them when they're over a wall or any other object.

Your mod has been a welcome addition for my colonies' hangars and missile silos.
I was wondering if you'd be willing to allow for placing the columns closer? I'd like to have ship landing beacon zones under retractable roofs, and with their usable minimum area of 7x7, being able to have your columns in the borders of the landing zones would allow having multiple zones next to each other to save space.
Checking for overlap, option for expanding to less than 6, option to select from 4 corners to expand to? How many coffees is this gonna cost me? Why is my bottom itchy?

It make sense for the airdock mod, but like you said very niche for a column on a ship. Can't really think of an in game use for a sos2 ship column that had an adjustable roof. Now if sos2 had decompression mechanics lol we could shotgun raiders or prisoners into the thruster burn.

@GrynnReaper yes because it's specifically creating / removing the 'RoofShip' def. This mod has its own roof that it's making. I'd have to make a column (or setting) specifically to create / remove that 'RoofShip' def to get it working on SoS2 ships, not hard but also very niche. Might do it eventually.

the airdock mod has an open and close roof function that seems to work with ships

I see, thank you for the explanation.

@J: I run with SoS2 and have seen no issues. Note however that these columns aren't compatible with SoS2 ships themselves. SoS2 has its own special 'ship roof' def that it places. This mod overwrites roof defs when expanding (if turned on) and removes its own when retracting. SoS2 specifically patches stuff to ignore their specific roof and by overwriting it will cause issues (this is true regardless of which mod you use). This mod also has no animations (nor does operable roofs) instead they both place roofs (and operable roofs overwrites roofs no matter what unlike this mod) as an "animation" over several ticks. There isn't actually animation in either case.

Do we know if it’s compatible with Save our Ship 2? There’s a version of Operable Roofs’s without animations that’s supposedly compatible with SOS2—just trying to measure my options.
