Ah yeah. This was not designed for long range travel or pressurization. Like mentioned below, it is meant mostly as cannon fodder. but yeah, those adjustments are good for it if you plan to use it for anything else.

wanted a small patrol vessel, had to link the front and back connectors and replace the magplate with a JD. easily got in vents and a Cyro.. removed a Gyro on each side to pressurize the cockpit.

No that is accurate. This is basically a disposable cannon fodder. While it can do most anything you need, it lacks two main things: Jump Drive, Internal Ventilation. This was intentional. They are quick and easy to build and there is cargo access so having tanks on hand wouldn't be an issue. I can change it to have internal pressure with ease though. Do you think that would be better?

Hmmmm That is a bit of a pickle. Sadly there are several areas that use the dlc blocks. Functionally speaking it should still 'work' even without them but you will find that there are missing blocks such as the majority of the weapons, deco stuff, and such. I'm honestly not sure what all would be removed.
