you should make a config setting for a default resolution, my moniter is only 1080p, and the game keeps launching in 4k, so i can only view 1/4 of the screen.

For anyone that crashes, you have to be in windowed when loading the mod otherwise your game will crash

Window stuff is really weird - I'm tempted to unlist this mod completely until further notice. tML's lack of effort toward the issue is rather annoying...

this is great, it works and i like it, the only problem is i cant play with the mod, other then that its a good mod.

It's december, and idk if the change from Oct 1st, 2022 has been reverted, but fullscreen does in fact minimize, and there is no borderless option. I just installed this mod, and it seems that I have only Fullscreen and Windowed, but Windowed functions as borderless, so effectively it replaces Windowed currently. Nothing happens when I click out of the game, but when I tab back in, it flickers, as if changing the setting actively or something.

make it an exclusive fullscreen enabler clearly (actually don't like that they removed it, that can be the difference to make things playable for some people)

Don't use this for now, a recent tML update basically implemented what this does. Going to make an update to diversify it a bit.

Work's fine on the title screen but when I launch a world it changes the resolution to the point where I can't even get into settings

This has been more or less fixed in the most recent preview - I'll probably just abandon this mod once it's pushed to stable.

.. Having a weird bug where it randomly changes my resolution to 2715 x ten hundred something, my resolution is only 1920 x 1072 and it happens every single time the mod is loaded.

Very finicky indeed. Been trying out solutions but I think I'll just have to settle on letting people adjust everything manually.

It may be an issue with my setup, but this hasn't really work. It forces itself into a larger resolution then I have so I can't change setting. Very finicky

@Gunfilgeur, oh, didn't notice your first comment - sorry for not directly responding. I noticed a crash too, but figured it was a one-time thing. Have you tried staying tabbed in to tML when mods are loading? That may mitigate the issue.

I'm happy to figure out the best solution (and whatever else I can do to improve the functionality offered by this mod).

I'm aware of the "Weird" part. Took me a long while of experimenting around with Vsync to realise the cause of my floaty cursor was simply borderless fullscreen that Tmodloader forces, which forces vsync thanks to Windows 8 and anything that came after.

I went through Tmodloader's config to see if I can manually set WindowBorderless=false, which I did. And it did not change anything, which is odd

tModLoader handles resolutions and "fullscreen-ness" (if you will) *very* weirdly. I might expand the mod to be fully configurable resolution-wise.

Since TModloader already forces borderless under "Fullscreen", is there any way to do the exact opposite?

I'd like to have exclusive fullscreen, and would do everything in my power to help in the process if this is possible.

If you look at the config file, it has an option "WindowBorderless"
thats how I got borderless to work

Pretty sure you can't enable borderless window in the config, seeing how tML patches out the old XNA Winforms code without implementing any updated FNA/SDL code for borderless windows.

the config file also allows you to set custom resolutions as well

btw you can enable borderless window without this mod by editing the config file

Wonderful. Was working fine for me but I had some issues when developing, I'll look into it. Worst case scenario I'll just require you guys to input your resolution manually.

3620x2036 for me (2560x1440 base res)

the resolution is automatically set to 2715 x 1527 (max.) each time the mod is loaded despite my monitor resolution is set to 1920 x 1080 by default
