Yo gang could you make the dust trails (the little lines that fly outwards from the explosion) a little less noticeable?

@goofy goober Progressive Destruction is a fairly dated mod that actually does try to mess with the explosion code. I'm not sure how they do it, ive tried looking at the code but it was hard to read and it really only allows making more smoke and colors its quite basic. I personally would recommend using other mods to enhance destruction, i made a whole Steam Collection about it. So unless you can disable it via its config its this or that mod that has to go.

yo i have a very important problem this mod called progressive destruction it like lets say when u chop a building in half u expect it to like crumble realisticly but when i have this mod on for the explosion mod it makes the explosions not work mod is progressive destruction plz make it compatable with this

Its why you see mods like "Voxel Explosion" "Cinematic Explosion" if there couldve been a better explosion replacement, it would've existed already. Developers are really good at making good explosions but are stuck using modded tools to make those explosions.

General game rule is that you cant replace vanilla explosions, as Explosion.lua is loaded after mods when you load into a map, essentially overwriting ANY mod that tries to change it, as its just oiverwritten everytime, unless you remove the file that is overwriting the change, which is explosion.lua in this case. I haven't tried in quite a while, but afaik there is no workaround for this besides removing it

why cant you make it so you dont have to remove explosions.lua

Nope! it affects how destruction produces more dust, not specifically explosions. its also not made by me - I DO recommend using it with this tho!

For anyone who was take off by the smoke ring in explosions, in the newest patch i have gotten rid of those, and wholly upgraded the mod a little bit. Feedback is greatly appreciated and i hope i did good with these relatively small changes... for now....

How do I get rid of the smoke ring?I hate seeing explosions in the air with this random ring that's supposed to only form on the ground.

@OrangeNicks hmm, try these; restarting the game, uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, uninstalling and reinstalling the game(You would have to remove the file again)

apparently it did have an update but even when it is removed and I have the mod active nothing happens

can someone help me I removed the explosion lua from the files an for the first day of having this mod it worked. But now it doesnt and no matter what i do its not working

@MAHF sorry for the delayed response, make sure the mod is installed and the file is removed, if the game was updated or tampered with then the file might've been restored or you might've removed it incorrectly. As long as those two main things are done and there aren't any conflicting mods, you should have the mod working. Hope this helps!

help it doesnt work, i already deleted explosion.LUA but i accidentaly disabled all addons, and when i enabled the again the explosions were default

Perhaps remove the cirkel of smoke? Perhaps?

I fixed it, I had to right click a game on steam and then choose manage game files and now every game that I have is in the folder explorer.

@highvoltagebeaverx2 weird, dunno how the folder isn't there, it must be something about your computer specifically that is acting up I guess? I'm not sure what the issue is. I'm glad you can at least somewhat use my mod. I wish I knew how to fix this issue. P.S If you do end up finding the issue and fix it, please tell me so I can tell people in the future who have the same problem how to fix it.

Or rather everything in the computer is strange. Even searching the file name in the File Explorer didn't work. If there is no solution, then I will enjoy your mod no matter how limited it is.

I double checked all folders and there is nothing. I'm sure that I have Teardown installed, otherwise I wouldn't be able to activate the mod and enter a sandbox. I wonder if it has to do with having a "Windows (C:)" instead of having "Local Disk (C:)".

@highvoltagebeaverx2 the Teardown folder should appear in the steamapps folder, otherwise you wouldn't even have the game installed as that is the folder where all installed games from steam go. The mod should work for any and all explosions if installed correctly, whether it be modded weapons or built in tools.

If it is just built for mods like the grenade launcher shown in the preview/description images. Then I have no more questions nor problems.

I did I little testing with the mod and it only works for mods about blowing up, and not for the built in pipe bomb, bomb, rocket launcher, and explosive props.

All that shows up is "steamVR, Stormworks Shared, Counter Strike Source, and Team Fortress 2."

I'm having trouble finding the "Teardown" file in the "steamapps" file for some reason. Unless if they updated the file explorer to where they had moved the "Teardown" file somewhere else.

@ExTerrian make sure you have done all the steps correctly: Remove .lua file, enable the mod, make sure there isn't any conflicting mods ETC.
