Such a stupid gimmick, I never used specialists because I always did low population colonies. Sacrificing workers for warriors was never worth it. Maybe if you do some crazy huge colony then the penality might be worth it.

@不善言辞钟表头, do you have a hugs lib log (press CTRL+F12 with the mod enabled and copy the url)? That error is complaining about a patch not working, but it isn't the patch that this mod is coded for, which makes me think it might be a mod incompatibility.

Can you add the DLC as a dependency on the About.xml? It helps for sorting.

A: Unless 1.6 messes with rolls (and even if it does) my mod should work with 1.6 already. Im waiting to slap the 1.6 tag on it till I know for sure.

Wow that took way longer than it should have but I should have a fix. I will do testing tomorrow and if all goes well, I’ll update this mod (hopefully by the evening).

as i said, i tried without mods as well and roles like the cleric and leader still had forbiden cleaning and hauling, i load your mod almost right after core DLCs but loading it at the end also changed nothing, most notable mods i use are rimedieval and medieval overhaul,
i have nothing that should be affecting ideology, also, thanks a lot for wanting to look into my problem

I was playing a medieval run and no matter what role I assigned, tasks like cleaning and hauling were still being forbidden, thought it might be a mod conflict so I tried using just your mod and ideology roles still kept forbidding work, now looking at it again, I feel like i misunderstood what your mod does, I thought it'd allow any pawn with an assigned role to do any work-related task and not just work it-self

The warcaskets add a trait to the pawn witch this mod does not cover but there are mods that do fix that. I like VFE Pirates unofficial add-on: Workercasket (Recompiled) . The 30% workspeed debuff makes it still feel like there is a trade off to entombing your little dudes without making them completely useless.

However, if you just want the warcaskets do anything this one might be better for you, Warcaskets can work!

Does anyone know if there was some update that broke the shooting specialists and mean they can't use melee weapons any more? I liked using simplesidearms to give them melee weapons as a backup for when they get SWARMED.

can you make one for biotech children too? I can assign them work but they automatically unassign the work when I load a save or when they go down

Would it be possible to add the option to change the skill level to be able to become a specialist? Would be a nice touch if a plant specialist couldn't become a specialist until (skill)level 13 instead of 6.
