The spawns are a bit rare but with my testing by just playing the game i got all the consoles pretty fast.
Zodiac 23 Oct @ 5:32pm
What are spawns like for these? do they spawn really frequently? I most homes in america at the time had at least a NES
pandaman 22 Oct @ 5:04pm

I check if there is any issue
Federberg 17 Oct @ 7:57am
One of the best mods) But I can't change the battery in the gameboy. The batteries just disappear from the inventory without recharging the console.
Yusei 遊星 矢本 13 Oct @ 1:16pm
now imagine if you could hook this up to an emulator and play the game.. in the game
Sprezzo 10 Oct @ 6:43pm
I do play with Item Stories so it could be the right direction
🍎Spicy_Apples🍎  [author] 10 Oct @ 4:29am
Thanks, i'll check it out
Cyanide MG 10 Oct @ 4:19am
What I have noticed, if you play with Item Stories, the dummy items spawn. Without Item Stories, they don't spawn for me. Maybe check into that for a compatible fix.
🍎Spicy_Apples🍎  [author] 10 Oct @ 4:15am
I still cant replaicate this issue with "VGCDummyItem2" spawning. Everything works as it shoud for me. If anyone can send me their save file with the issue that would help.
sas647 7 Oct @ 11:17pm
You can't actually play the games?! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!

(amazing mod:steamhappy:)
Sprezzo 3 Oct @ 6:51am
Same problem as others have reported, VGCDummyItem2 spawning with a question mark sprite
M1ST0R 13 Sep @ 3:16am
Hi, how can I provide you with a Russian translation?
Mad Cafinenator 8 Sep @ 12:43am
Love this mod but getting the game boy is a quest. XD
Ajajane 31 Aug @ 9:28pm
I'm having the same issue as Mr. Greed.
🍎Spicy_Apples🍎  [author] 25 Aug @ 11:50am
I'll fix it up.
Mirko113 25 Aug @ 9:45am
Same problem with vgc dummy items spawning
Red 9 Aug @ 2:25pm
megadrive lmao
nicebagdad 9 Aug @ 5:03am
I am having a lot of VGC dummy items spawn, they are a sprite with a big question mark, any way to fix that?
KetamineFlashmob 7 Aug @ 11:08pm
This is such an incredible mod. Thank you for making it. I was getting bored of the generic TV sounds and this adds a level of immersion to the game that I love. Hope someone does this with VHS tapes.
Mr. Greed 23 Jul @ 4:29pm
Anyone have the text "You need electricity, genesis, and a TV nearby to play." every time the crafting menu opens or an action is done through it? I don't see any keybinds for the mod that can be edited in ui or in files.
Oberbierzeltführer Siegfried 23 Jul @ 12:59pm
Somehow the Sega CD,Atari Lynx and CD-I are missing.
Biko 33 20 Jul @ 3:34pm
I hope to see a b42 version once the tools are available
Dave_MickG 14 Jul @ 3:07pm
Can't find the consoles, but finding games. Is there somewhere specifically I should look for them?

I did install mid-save, so maybe that caused an issue.
PeaceboyJohn420 8 Jul @ 8:22am
List of Games would be lovely
Miguelzim 6 Jul @ 3:10pm
Muito bom, recomendo dms!:Alligator:
BruteThePenguin 6 Jul @ 1:10pm
anyway to tune the drop rate?
JustinDaniels 30 Jun @ 10:09pm
Kay, so for anyone asking if you can play the consoles: Yes and No.

No you don't ACTUALLY play the games within PZ.

Yes, your CHARACTER plays the games. You need to be next to a TV, have electricity available for said TV, and have the Console and a Compatible Game either in your inventory or on a nearby tile.

Typically what I do is grab the game I want to play, have a seat next to the TV, and use the game from my inventory, with the console sitting in front of the TV, like a 90's kid all over again.

It's a great way to Destress after killing a bunch of zeds, and immersing myself into a fully-accurate "What would I Do?" scenario.
Oliver Freedom 6 Jun @ 9:10am
Can to play the consoles? Or just a decoration's iten?
MotoSpider 5 Jun @ 12:37pm
Do you actually get to play it?
TheGoddess0fWar 28 May @ 11:00am
how to tune the drop rate?
RunYouCleverBoy 25 May @ 1:14am
it would be nice if it realization not in recipes menu.
so it throwed me errors even i crafted another things so i stopped use mod 2-3 mouths ago
syrdi 22 May @ 6:24pm
Can we get a way to connect consoles to tvs in order to work? Sitting down playing a gameboy animation when i play my sega console doesn't make much sense. Also, there's a lot of dummy game items in B42.
JustinDaniels 2 May @ 1:33pm
I have found a few of the dummy game items in the lootables. While they might not have much of a function, I was wondering if it would be possible to add a recipe for them that "Debugs" them?

An idea I have would be that the dummy items be converted into Game Cases, and that by right-clicking them, you can "Remove game from the case", which basically re-rolls the item into an actual, playable game.
NivekRkain 30 Apr @ 2:00pm
It would be cool if you had to connect the console to the TV, and depending on the game it would play some images, it would be much more immersive.
Rem 19 Apr @ 12:04pm
I dont think it does anything bad, but everytime i open the crafting menu to do anything, it says "you need a television and electricity to connect a sega cd"
CarlosCreeper 2 Apr @ 4:33am
God bless u bro, nice mod but I'm scared of you may be getting banned for copyright (Sega + Nintendo).
TaikaJamppa 30 Mar @ 2:23am
It's a damn shame the game is set in the early 90s... I am a late 90s kid myself, and couldn't imagine a single day without my PlayStation :steammocking:. I mean, I literally have one of each!
FrostFire DireWolf 27 Mar @ 4:01am
For some reason I can't seem to play the gamegear
EE 5 Mar @ 2:07am
AVGN
Monkey Magic 21 Feb @ 6:16pm
Not sure if this is a bug in B42, but consoles can still be played even if the TV is switched off. One would expect the TV to be switched on for console games to work. If this is down to game limitiations, perhaps adding a new channel for this to work?

That aside: the vanilla Handheld Game Console has neither been removed, or renamed as Nintendo Game and Watch (as I expected it would be) and remains unplayable.

Also, the tool-tips behind this mod are all squiffy:

*The NES, SNES, Sega CD, and Genesis games correctly state they require their specific consoles.

*The CDi games incorrectly state they require a Lynx to play. They should (and do) require the Phillips CDi.

*The Atari, Lynx, Game Gear, and Game Boy games have no tool-tip at all.
Rakensen 18 Feb @ 1:39am
Started a new run and ended up with multiple systems after just a few days so yep, pure RNG
🍎Spicy_Apples🍎  [author] 17 Feb @ 2:42am
I had the opposite issue last time I was testing the spawn rates.
Its really just random :ah3saki:.
But in the next update we are adding an option to increase spawn rates.
You can also check schools, those have really high chance to spawn all the items.
Rakensen 16 Feb @ 11:05pm
Idk if it's just my game or if this is intentional, but the spawn rate on consoles is insanely low. Tons of games but nothing to play them on after several months survived
🍎Spicy_Apples🍎  [author] 15 Feb @ 10:14am
Yet...
richardallard 15 Feb @ 10:07am
Great MOD!

You don't even need to blow on the cartridges to make them work! ;)
Athens111 15 Feb @ 8:36am
@🍎Spicy_Apples🍎 Hey. Can I contact you on discord? I am working on a project that adds-on to your mod and I wanted your permissions for it. Credits will be given of course :spiffo: (Mine is bravepilgrim if you want to contact first and not share it.)
🍎Spicy_Apples🍎  [author] 14 Feb @ 11:49am
hmm I can look into that.
Bobitec 14 Feb @ 11:44am
We need a way to follow what we already found and put in our base and out we don't... Like book marcked mod but for console and video-game...
ReDjOhN 13 Feb @ 7:48am
great thanks
