i really like the look of this effect, though Diva Dan did something very similar with "Gilded Trail".
the big thing i'd like the point out between that effect and this one is the color variants. Gilded Trail effectively makes itself known by only being one color: gold! it makes sense because "gilded" means gold.
this, however, has four different base colors which all fade into another color to no benefit or reason.
many effects these days seem to contain multiple colors because it's trendy, but with more and more content each update, unusuals start to lose meaning both independently and as a whole.
color variants affect this by devaluing the sense of rarity and uniqueness that effects have, seeming like they NEED to be something more. i just don't see the need to do this if your idea gets across fine with one or two colors.
besides this, i do like the movement of the trail and use of fading - it just shouldn't become a different color entirely.
