How do you solve the shape platform puzzle?

i was in the maze when john the bloody skeleton came out of a wall and killed me... my friend has no horror mods enabled....

buddy, I love decrypting the ciphers, but you got to change the font you use. these letters are so thin and so grainy that I have trouble telling the difference between W & VV, i & l, and m & rn

I spent about 3 hours researching this map.
Here's what I found:
1. Two QR codes: one in the pool, the second behind the wall in the ш-shaped room in the building.
2. Gordon Freeman's model and jumpscare in the 8-shaped tunnel. The entrance looks like several stones knocked out of a wall with two burning torches at the edges.
3. Two buttons that will unlock the main button on the altar with blue inscription. One button is located in the labyrinth. The second button is located under the square elevator in one of the walls. I don't know how you can get there without removing the square platform, or without using the noclip.
4. Two places on the map with inscriptions in the form of Egyptian texts but with English letters. One of them is located near the first button in the maze on the wall. The second inscription is located inside the high wall on the sunny side. You can find it by the stones slightly pressed inside. The wall there can be knocked out.

HOLY SHIT THIS MAP IS ACTUALLY HUGE

As both a desert boy and a bronze age enthusiast, this is by far the best map I have ever seen. Whenever I play this map, I can't help but feel that I am in back in time in one of the ancient civilisations. I can't imagine how long it took you to make such a large and beautiful map like this, let alone compile it.

I still don't get it, from this point the only thing that happens is the failure sound plays every time the middle platform raises.

@Death_noob I was extremely cheeky with the second step. I'll say it since it is very annoying and I really don't feel the final result of the puzzle is one worth getting frustrated/disappointed over, Don't touch the buttons at all for 30 seconds once it is in the correct formation, and listen for it to give you the success sound before moving on to the next step.

I can't figure out the new puzzle, hitting any of the three buttons after the initial formation gives me a failure sound.

It will click once the beginning formation is made, and click for each completed step afterwards, a clicking buzz is a failure sound, taking you back a step. It definitely is tricky though, all it is for is to make it so that the area beneath the square platform can be accessible without noclip or removing said platform with sandbox mode , just to not dissappoint you too much after you do get it. It's just a niche addition that someone suggested and I liked the idea a lot.

despite having 200 mods and background npcs running (22 npcs always nearby) i run this smoothly and this is a good map

@uNd3AdrA88lt606 Thank you for letting me know. I hate to say it, but it probably is due to an addon, since I actually had trouble with building the cubemaps for this map, the game would crash with an engine error every single time I tried to build hdr cubemaps, until I disabled all of my addons, which I didn't expect to be able to cause a problem like that. Also, wasn't trying to be an asshole about the lower-end PC question, my bad if I came off that way, haha, I just always used a crap laptop to make and play the maps before this one and now I'm not able to test the map on one as I did before. I don't know what I can do about the memory problem, but I don't have many addons and it might just be one causing it, if I find the problem one I'll let you know.

@OnTheMatter To be serious, no I'm not running Gmod on a laptop; I'm running it on a PC. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I have over 600 mods active (whether this be a factor, the Gods help me) and having not enough memory as said on console commands.

I swear to God, this is one of the best maps ever to grace this amazing game. I have not had this much fun running away from 50 Obunga Nextbots in all my time playing. The design is flawless and the small details and areas to discover are absolutely top tier. Bro, you have made a fantastic map and I hope you'll continue to create masterpieces just like this :)

For me it seems to vary, though the map will fully load before it crashes, whether I can play it or not. I have a pretty beefy PC, but am running a lot of addons. The crash seems to kick in after about 300 or so. I'm not on the Chromium build.

The question then becomes why this map specifically is crashing at lower RAM usage than other maps; I can go above 3GB on other maps, but this one crashes earlier. If there were .mdmp files left behind I could send them to Facepunch or Valve to sort out; if the error popups weren't blank I could at least go off that, but the fact that the errors are completely blank suggests it's something that was never anticipated to actually happen. If only a Source programmer could offer some insight...

@uNd3AdrA88lt606 @tabg gaming Do you have older computers, maybe running on Linux, are you on/off the Gmod chromium beta, etc? I just want to figure out what common characteristics there are for the people who experience crashing. I wasn't able to test the map on a lower-end laptop like I did with my other maps, so I don't know if that could perhaps be related to it or not. Any information you can give me that I can use to figure out a common theme would be helpful, I can't do anything with only, "game crashed", albeit I know it is frustrating and good to point out as an issue. Does it crash in the loading screen, or after loading in and playing for a while? That sort of stuff is helpful.

Very pretty and versatile sandbox map. Wish striders and aircraft could move around more, like on the sand and ramps and stuff instead of just following their paths/getting stuck.
