@The_Staplergun vanilla plastic building doesn't do anything to germ anyway.. It's just cosmetic description text..

You are creating a hell lot of cool mods! Do i see quality AND quantity?!

Does the fact that it's plastic also help with removing germs within the contents of said pipe?

ohhh I didnt read the description my bad :D it's really cool then.

The plastic pipes don't have any decor. They have 0 decor, not good not bad.

I think if plastic pipe has lower decor penalty insted of having decor I could love this mod. If you could have add this as an option it couldbe perfect. I was thinking like real world pipes. Plastic pipes looks better than metal ones but they still look bad.

Just updated to add a new setting in the mod options menu to hide pipes and wires behind the new backwalls. It should enable automatically if you have the Drywall Hides Pipes and Wires mod.

I would recommend the Diseases Restored mod if you want to make germs a challenge again. And maybe suggest to that author to re-tune the plastic antiseptic behaviour so that it's meaningful within that mod's changes. I think affecting plastic's behaviour with germs is out of scope for this mod.

They could copy the next to/on/inside killing germs status at 33% per cycle with these new mechanics

It's too bad that the germ-killing properties for plastic never materialized. That would've made these pipes fantastic for plumbing bathrooms.

I've never seen any game code that actually makes plastic antiseptic so I'm doubtful that even the normal plastic tiles are killing germs. These pipes don't go out of their way to do that but if the code is in the game somewhere to make any plastic kill germs then these might affect the germs in the air around them (not in the pipe).

It is true that plastic tiles are “mildly antiseptic” but what does that mean in the game? How would that effect even apply to pipes?

I see that plastic tiles and standard tiles are both +5 decor. Normal pipes are 0 decor, and insulated and radiant pipes are -5 decor.

Thanks for keeping it balanced Romen.
I look forward to ranching enough dreckos to make an entirely plastic base.

Do those pipe kill germs?
groovemonkey2005 14 Jun, 2022 @ 8:42pm
I have an idea! What if there was a second piping option to add 100 or maybe 200 kgs of composite material to change its melting point or even its conductivity? It would be like regular insulated pipes but smoother and blue due to being wrapped in plastic. Thoughts?

"Great Decor" might be a bad label for the thumbnail. It's more like "no decor penalty".

Great work as always Romen. Question: is the decor bonus equal to the decor bonus from plastic tiles or more than or less than?

Any plans to add glass utilities too?
