Do note that this isn't compatible with Cultures Expanded—that would require a separate compatch. That said, if you want to run HS with CE, make sure CE is below HS in the playset, and all that will happen is that East Slavs and Finnics will have regular Western holding graphics, instead of HS's custom ones.

it does need an update (or at least a check)as holding sprawl is crashing the game on launch as EPE got updated

That's a bug with Holding Sprawl itself, not the compatch, unfortunately.

The only issue I'm seeing are disappearing city/barony/bishoprics on the map. Seems to happen at the start of games or when buildings are created within the settlement.

Assuming you mean Slavic cities not having a UI image, that seems to be a bug with Holding Sprawl, not a compatibility issue

I loaded this mod afer EPE, still has Slavic city blank imagine bug.

As written in the description, put the compatch after both EPE and HS. The order of those two doesn't matter.
