@krimsalt_ Thank you! I suspected that might be the cause.

@krimsalt_ Thanks for the theme suggestion! I'll check it out.

@kstnvll if you have the "Remove Need for Pipes" mod you'll have a complaint that there isn't heating in all maps until you put the policy "use electricity for heating"

@kstnvll Thanks for clarifying, I was kind of perplexed by the other comment. Good to hear it's not a problem with the map.

I had a post indicating that this map requires the heating mechanic. I WAS WRONG! Just to verify that, I started a new game with a default map and it too needed heating when the milestone was reached. I've obviously changed a setting somewhere that is affecting all of my maps. I apologize to kipalamode for misstating something about his map.

Also this map looks PERFECT with Eggsy's Italian Coast theme https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2364719262&searchtext=italian+coast , the mountains are terraformed amazingly for the rock texture

@kipalamode thanks, this is on the empty map though. I noticed it as I was zooming around. I'll probably dump some freshwater outputs into the river to add water.

But apparently this is an odd issue with some of the vanilla maps too

Other than that, this is my favourite downloaded map now!

Glad you guys like it! @krimsalt_ The river's water source at the top isn't very strong and there's another fairly weak water source around 1/3 the way down. If you're pumping water out of the river you'll probably run it dry as your city grows bigger. The lakes have a much stronger source, so if you can, get your fresh water from one of those.

This is an incredible map. One of the best. I love the use of the two ocean shores flanked by mountain ranges creating natural boundaries for the city.

I have noticed one odd thing though, the main river sometimes seems to dry up and restart. And if I reset everything to sea level, the river doesn't reappear at all

Great example of how a well balanced layout of a map is far more enjoyable (imo) than something that's hyper detailed simply for the sake of being hyper detail. Really fun to play with lots of creative building options.
