Alex, I'm big fan of the XM177E1 and I really wish that you can use COD MW 2022 Animation for it and make the gun appear a little larger...that would be absolutely perfection.

The AR variants reportedly have a cyclic rate of 700-900 RPM, probably depending on ammunition.

Let me just say that I despise the M16 in game. This mod actually makes me want to and love using it.

So-called "mesh-stacking" is not healthy for fps games, especially l4d2, trust me i tried and it just destroys the game with CTDs if you have enough mods installed.

As for the specular - either set opacity for specular layer to ~30-50% OR darken the material using $color2 (either the whole material or using a diff alpha with $blendtintbybasealpha combined with a sort-of metallic mask)

Yes, I kind of did so for the .44 Magnum, because the diffuse is almost black while the specular is what makes it white and shiny. Basically I simply overlayed it, and it sorta works. I'll try doing what Jacob did for some of his mods, something that involves a duplicate mesh for extra material effects.

Well yeah you're right, spec/gloss ain't no pbr at all, i'm talking nonsense.
Still, there's really no way of using colored-specular textures in Source (hl2/l4d2/etc) other than mixing those with albedo/diffuse.

The game has four textures for weapon models: diffuse, normal, specular, and whatever the wear mask is. It is not PBR, but I might know a way to make it look better. I'll update it if I'm satisfied with the results.

Looks boring without specular baked-into diffuse and the overall exponent looks really basic.
Specular/Gloss-type pbr requires you to bake specular into diffuse and use $phongalbedotint "1" to actually see all the colored details.
