More Road Types [V69]

Now updated to V69 [nice]

A couple of things to mention:
1). Given how cluttered the research tree is post V67 and how ridiculous -in comparison to earlier versions- the tree has become to maintain for your cities, I have decided to merge the modded road types into the vanilla research options. This means the new road types are now included with the cost of the vanilla types.
2). I have attempted -again- to fix the issue of this mod breaking in-progress saves. I, however, do not have any saves with which to test it. So for now, I will just have to leave the big text disclaimer in place until I can properly test and confirm if my changes have fixed the issue.

Have fun, please feel free to post any issues you may find.

Thanks for the fix

@Overkill, found the issue. Should be fixed now, I am not sure if it will affect saves retroactively. Thank you for posting.

Do not use this mod until it gets fixed. It causes every race to have 25% religion distribution for v68, i dont know about older versions

one of my favorite mods for the game thanks

Now updated to V68, I have also included a V67 version for anyone who hasn't updated to V68.

I have also included fulfilment, introduced in V67, into the modded road types so they should function as vanilla roads do.

I do not have the time anymore to play-test or to fully check the game systems myself. So if I have missed anything feel free to let me know.

@02adan, as with all previous updates I will be updating for V67 once it is fully released. Updating for a beta will likely cause issues with any in-progress saves for those using it on V66.

any plan to update to V67?
Morphic  [author] 26 Jul, 2024 @ 7:25am
@Wuzze, I would need to look back over the code at some point to do that. If it is a thing I can do, then I will wait for the next major version of Syx to come out before making any changes to the mod. This is due to the 'Road Swapping' issue described in bold text at the top. I don't want to break any in-progress saves.

Also, if 1.0 is likely within a short enough time frame, I will hold out making any large changes as Gammatron (Jake) has promised that versions of 1.0 and beyond will be far more Mod and Savegame friendly.

Thanks for the feedback!

add preferances to races please, you beautiful

Now updated to V66. Not much has changed other than removing the "Dark Mud" road type as an identical version exists in vanilla.

Any chance of a v66 update? Love this mod
Morphic  [author] 2 Feb, 2024 @ 10:39am
@Kolljak, yes unfortunately there is an issue with how the game loads pre-existing floors in old saves. It appears to be even worse now (I did put a disclaimer in big text right at the top of this page.)

I spoke with the developer about it some time ago and it seems hardcoded into the game and I don't have access to those files. I had hoped with all the changes the issue would have been resolved but it seems not.

But yeah, until something changes on his end you should only add this mod to new games.
Kolljak 2 Feb, 2024 @ 8:10am
So it seems the ID's of all the items/blocks were shifted somehow, forage jobs became walls, floor tiles that were dirt became swirls tiles, some other jobs got transformed into other things, my advice, add this on a new game not a active game in progress or it breaks things.
Kolljak 2 Feb, 2024 @ 6:27am
A bug has happened that has replaced all dirt roads that already existed with Swirl Tile.
Kolljak 2 Feb, 2024 @ 5:46am
Its fine. hope things work out for you, thanks for the update.
Morphic  [author] 1 Feb, 2024 @ 11:25pm
Apologies for the late update, I have been dealing with some personal issues over the last month or so.

Now updated to V65 with previous versions kept preserved within the folder structure for anyone who isn't running the new update.
Kolljak 1 Feb, 2024 @ 1:52pm
update? v65?
Morphic  [author] 13 Jul, 2023 @ 9:23am
Now updated to V64. Please let me know if you find any bugs/errors/typos.

Reminder: You need to click "Sync Steam" in order to update your files!

@Dirty Dragon: As with V63, I'm waiting for a full release of V64 before I push an update. So it will happen around then.
Same issue of updating now would likely break everyone's V63 saves.
Captain Dragon 10 Jul, 2023 @ 11:17pm
Fantastic mod, will be waiting patiently for v64
A Table 7 May, 2023 @ 9:06am
Cool It would be great for my Carthimis runs
Morphic  [author] 7 May, 2023 @ 5:29am
@A Table, I could yes. However, that will need to wait for a major update as doing it now would break everyone's towns.
A Table 3 May, 2023 @ 9:54pm
Hey do you think you could add the slime floor that goes in the Garthimis houses?
CarbonCopy 14 Feb, 2023 @ 12:57am
awesome
Danko 19 Jan, 2023 @ 6:03am
@morphic thank you :)
Morphic  [author] 18 Jan, 2023 @ 4:15pm
Now updated for V63.
Morphic  [author] 3 Jan, 2023 @ 8:12pm
Not until there's a full release. With the way mods work it's break it for anyone using V62 and I'm not really interested in pushing a new version just for a beta.

I haven't really had time to look through the new files yet anyway. You'll just have to wait, sorry.
Danko 3 Jan, 2023 @ 5:51pm
working with v63 ?

Amazing mod!
Jusfab 13 May, 2022 @ 10:32am
You Sir, have my stamp of approval!

Maybe include the base roads in the overview as a comparison
(the values don't help the majority)
