@Link3000XD Almost certainly not. Bug Branch has a tendency to drop full reworks, which isn't like, a bad thing, but I absolutely guarantee that almost every civic is different and the patch would break it.

Either way, the patch most certainly does not work with 4.0.

hmm considering 4.0 and what i read up there i have to make a choice. i think GVP has to go.

@XCABAL Most likely. I haven't really been playing Stellaris much over the couple years. The patch used to be based on the Ethics & Civics Sanity Patch, but as the sanity patch got more out of date and Bug Branch and GVP kept getting updated, it just got further and further from that.

It's part of the reason I had to drop keeping it updated, keeping up on 2 very frequently updated mods was a lot.

Okay, I wanted to look into making a new patch using this patch as a base, but it looks like the structure for GVP has been completely overhauled. So I assume a patch would need to be made from scratch?

I had others, but they never interfered in the past. I stopped playing the game for a few months and when I came back thats when the issues started. Whenever everything is updated I'll try the three alone and let you know the result.

No, it was before the new patch. I promise I'm not one of those people who doesn't know how mods interact with major updates lol. I realize the timing of my complaint was a little silly considering the update, so no rush at all.

@SoupSultan Are you on the latest update? If so, that's why. Massive leader and governmental changes means it's going to break things because I haven't had a chance to update the patch.

It almost certainly even works without any changes. The update will probably be changing a single line in the descriptor file.

@AmberAmbitions Thanks, but I already discovered the culprit, it isnt anything with megacorps but with country_types define and it was propably somehow caused by the Merger of Rules mod.

For some reason any player country is designated as Ascended Empire country type

@JuzeEU It shouldn't be a problem with this mod, nor do I think it's likely it's a problem with Bug Branch or GVP. None of them are fundamentally messing around with the mechanics of Megacorps.

Discovered a little problem, playing with a bunch of mods, but also playing with this one and i'm playing a megacorp with the dynastic enterprise government authority, and i cant seem to be able to build branch offices on player empires, when i go play the same save to singleplayer i CAN build the branch office.

The reason i cant build the branch office reads ''We cannot build branches on other Ascended Empires''.

I dont know if there is a problem with this mod or another one but any help is appreciated.

@Nimea It should be noted that that isn't my guide, it's GVP's original author's, and that it may not be entirely accurate, as my mod includes the changes from the Sanity Patch to make the mods avoid preposterous results. My mod is basically a fork of the Sanity Patch changed to make the mod properly utilize the Competitive/Cooperative scale and the new Authorities.

I have finally managed to find what was wrong with the Capitalist governments and squashed that bug, updated to 3.5.* while I was at it as well.

However, in testing, I discovered another issue that I am now trying to gather information on to figure out how to tackle it: Bug Branch's Governmental Civics. They prevent some government types from being able to exist by stopping certain civics from being used together. I do not personally have the time to scan through testing every government type to see if they are contradictory. So, I have set up a discussion where you can report these while I figure out what to do to make them possible.

@Nimea That log is actually MASSIVELY useful. Almost every error is coming from the capitalist governments file, except a couple coming from the megacorp governments file, which narrows it down immensely. It looks like somehow the formatting is really wrong on the capitalist government file. I'll look back into it when I get a chance this weekend.

@Nimea It has, but I cannot seem to figure out what's causing it. It was as I suspected, Bug Branch governments are a touch high weighted, but it's not all of the problem. I still have no idea what is causing it.

Same issue with CornishGH; I can't trigger quite a few of the government titles. Has the weights issue been looked at?
