Any chance of sharing your knowledge of terrain making and the files for this map??? I live a ferry trip away from this island and work as a fisherman around the island, i have the MULL OF KINTYRE map and the ISLES OF CUMBRAE map all my local areas. I have some experience of making maps and tracks but for ASSETTO CORSA and just so happens the ISLE OF ARRAN is a map ive started, so i understand how much of effort goes into making maps. The track i made is on RACEDEPARTMENT/OVERTAKE GG. The map is massive just on ASSETTO CORSA the outer road loop is 120km takes 40 minutes to drive. If you are still active id love to hear from you.

It's a pity that inspiration has left you... It could have turned out to be a great location. But I understand this is a very difficult job - mapping, it is always easier to work in a team and with like-minded people. Memory and tribute to the Bushlunker! Thank you for what you have, for your work.

Still waiting for your response to HidenSquidge's question below....

I see that you are working on moving this over to arma reforger, will you finish the map for arma 3 for the moment as well or just abandon it for arma 3? As the vast majority of arma players are not moving to reforger as it is a stop gap between 3 and 4

Arma Reforger just got released, perfect timing! Will be experimenting with the tools and move the terrain over, as from what I can see, the tools/workflow looks 100x better.

Scotland is an excellent fit for the engine and assets, with the sparse urban areas and varied terrain. It could also double as a location for the Baltic. There's aren't a lot of realistic temperate climate islands in the workshop. So you can definitely count on interest. Do you need help with object placement?

Thanks for the comments! There's a lot going for it, so I am motivated. I might spend the next week tidying it up a bit, currently redoing the heightmap for greater detail.

I'd love to see a finished version of this one day. I've climbed those peaks IRL.

Nice work so far, this certainly has a lot of potential based on the current state alone
