A fix I found for the wheels not spawning in, remove the 2 Hydrogen tanks blocking the 2 front most rear wheels then build the middle one. offset the height to the maximum then the 2 other wheels should spawn in and everything can be repaired with a projector and welder. just remember to lower the middle wheel back down before you drive away.:claptrap:

In case you have not moved on by now: Try grinding down all the rear wheels, then use "x" and gyro-steering to get the rear end in the air and press Toolbar 3 Key 1 to re-apply the wheels. See if that makes the frames for all the wheels spawn.
This rover is due to an update and I will see if I can find the issue somehow. But will not be back on the PC before next week.

Pretty much when I fully create the on a projector when I would get to the back. The back middle wheels wouldn't let me weld them into place sometime I could but then the back tire wouldn't be placed.

Thank you for reporting. Unfortunately, I was not able to replicate this issue. Both in survival and creative the wheel does spawn without an issue. Can you guys provide some additional context? Were you trying to spawn the vehicle or build it via projector? Any conflicting mods or plugins maybe?

ye same problem, it seems that game do not want to spawn middle back wheel
Taidyr  [author] 1 Apr, 2024 @ 7:02am
Hey @ghoulishly,
I'm sorry but you have to be a bit more specific. What issues are you facing exactly?
ghoulishly 24 Mar, 2024 @ 2:05pm
hi question ive been having issues with the middle back wheel do you have a recommendation to fix this?
Merciz 6 Mar, 2024 @ 12:37am
hmm, i think i can adapt it to what i need, the shape is just about right for what i'm gonna change ( also it's quite good on it's own as well, just making sure i give it and you a thumbs up before using it )

Works Great. Thanks

Well Done, This vehicle looks so good that I can envision myself driving one in the military right now.
bihlbo 22 Apr, 2022 @ 10:21pm
Hahaha, I love how the preview images tell a story about chuckleheads dumping trash in a ravine.

Snow Runner in SE, I love it! Awesome work as always, thanks for sharing.

Looks like i have a new play toy for my rover only world.

An excellent truck!

One change I would make would be a toggle to turn off the flashers. BTW, have you ever considered trying to use a helm for external controls?

I'm going to see if I can extend the cargo area forward 2-3 blocks so it can haul 6 meter container modules better. Think PLS truck.

I'ma give you a thumbs up just cuz I like your screenshots so much.

You've been hit by, you've been struck by (an awesome) TRUCK! I like this one a lot.

Subbed, rated up, and favorited. I'm curious how different the forces are on this between mag-locked loads and loads attached to the end hinge (sub-grid). SE physics is weird sometimes; forklift loads behave differently whether they're lifted realistically with forks, mag-locked, or connected sub-grids. If sub-grids work well with this, I would love to try tearing the wheels and jack-stands off of some of your trailers and using them as connected (and potentially conveyored) modules instead, especially if you do a hooklift trailer. Sorry for the paragraph. Love the work, keep it up.

You can access the control seat through the beam-block on the side of the cabin. I've added a screenshot for reference.

how on earth do get inside? only way i could control it was remote while standing on the roof...

Thanks for all the likes and comments, everybody! Happy to see you enjoy the vehicle

@Hawkwar: I'm planning to do at least one more of these vehicles with better loading capacity. Will most likely come with 5x5 wheels, though.
Although I'm aware that space on this truck is somewhat limited, making it bigger would significantly compromise its handling. I'm also experimenting with a hooklift-trailer, which would offer more cargo capacitiy for the same space.

Beautiful and functional as always
Hawkwar 18 Apr, 2022 @ 2:05am
This is really good. Another awesome V.M.E. vehicle. Any chance you could make one with double the tray length? I'm finding everything I want to carry is about double the tray length lol. I use a fair few of your vehicles for various tasks and this is no exception.
echance01 17 Apr, 2022 @ 7:54pm
I really do love this build! I thought about making something similar to this the other day, but I haven't really had the time to do so lol
Stratus 17 Apr, 2022 @ 5:05pm
Can't wait! ;D
Taidyr  [author] 17 Apr, 2022 @ 3:49pm
@Stratus: Thanks! Once I finally get around to properly familiarize myself with the replay tool, I can hopefully start telling these little stories in motion :)
Taidyr  [author] 17 Apr, 2022 @ 3:47pm
I'm experimenting a lot with these forces currently and other builders have already made impressive cargo-lifters. Still planing to release at least one more vehicle like this for larger cargo, but I'm gonna keep the system simple, as I like my stuff to be reproduceable in survival.
Taidyr  [author] 17 Apr, 2022 @ 3:47pm
@reddtherage: To some extend, yes. Will depend on what you define as "heavy work" exactly and where you want to use it. Survival hits different from creative, and multiplayer survival hits different from singleplayer survival. On the later, vehicles that do subgrid-shenanigans glitch out far easier.
In general, everything where moving blocks come in contact with other moving blocks (like lifting stuff with a bulldozer shovel) has a high tendency to summon clang. Also hinges, pistons etc. crap out eventually when the load is to heavy or force is applied in a direction they're not supposed to go. A rather safe way to lift stuff is to attach it to a magnetic plate/landing gear, but 'safe' is a relative term in this game.
Stratus 17 Apr, 2022 @ 1:43pm
LOL I love the story told by the pictures. XD
reddtherage 17 Apr, 2022 @ 1:29pm
great work, but now I am curious, is it possible for a bulldozer/ engineering tractor? some thing on wheels that can be used for a verity of heavy work?
Noctis 17 Apr, 2022 @ 11:05am
Taidyr, no dancing on top of trucks... unless I'm there to. Keep up the great work!
BIV 17 Apr, 2022 @ 10:02am
Looks great, nice and beefy and ready to work. Very good look about it. Cheers.

Always liked the concept of Flat Bed Trucks in SE, am excited to try this out.

Nice work!
