for some wierd reason every time my cloth mask drops for a split second i always get infected even tho its only one zombie

Ive run into a problem; out of no were the gas mask ive been useing now longer shows up in the gas mask icon, even when worn. other gas masks that did work also dont work now, and now i cant explore becuase ive almost been infected twice already. any ideas what i could do?

Got this modified to work on build 42.7 but, cannot see the options for the Hotkeys that equip masks or change filters. Any one here familiar with what I might need to modify in the files to have the Hotkeys show in the Mod Options?

The base infection chance is 0.0034 ir says in sandbox, but how does this work if anyone could please explain?

If I am fighting 1 zombie without any protection, it means per... game tick? per second? I have 0.0034% chance to be infected? And if I fight two, does it double?

There is a crafting recipe for gas mask filters (at least of some kind). Either you can craft them or repair them or both, I don't remember.

So to answer your question, yes.

idea: make a more hardcore version of the mod that makes it MUCH easier to get infected with the susceptible trait (the trait now also gives 23 points)

I play b41 with this mod and the vaccine mod, where you have to build a lab and research a vaccine. I also use another mod that allows the Susceptible trait to be removed with the vaccine mod. I think this is one of the best ways to play this game—it gives an end-game goal instead of just surviving endlessly. I'm excited to see this mod ported to 42.

Airborne infection was never in or planned in the vanilla game, only mentioned in the lore

Honestly, I expected the developers to add the possibility of airborne infection in version 42, bruh. Someone even told me that the airborne infection was in some earlier versions of the game, but for some reason they decided to abandon it...
