https://discord.gg/TEKZj2PskX <-- discord. Behave yourself in there; they're doing it all for free. This link is also near the top of the description.
Go to #dev-diary to see the most recent progress report. Read #eldian-code for server rules. Either I'm blind or there isn't a dedicated channel to apply to be a playtester, so I think you do that in #the-paths, and being a playtester does require some basic knowledge like how to collect error logs and roll back/forward versions since your role is finding bugs/errors and your reward is what is basically early access.
This mod is super outdated, update being worked on by other folks, so unless you roll back your CK3 version to match "expect the unexpected" and "it's gonna get weird" are the go-to phrases.
Extremely unlikely. If you like gambling, give it a shot and probably waste the time you spend waiting for it to start and crash, otherwise don't bother.
An update is incoming. But it's not being made by me. It's gonna have some more complex stuff in it, beyond what I myself know how to do.
You can join the discord to see the progress that's been made thusfar. Make sure to be polite in there, since the folks working on this are doing it for free ;)
Once the update's created this desc will have a link to it in the top.

Also unless you're helping to make the new version of the mod, the reasons to be in there are to get updates on progress, ask questions, make suggestions, and someday over the rainbow get a ping telling you the mod is up and running.
If you do go into the server, also do be polite to the people working on the updated version. They are giving up their limited free time, for free, to make something that will make other people's free time more fun and interesting. This is more than can be said for me, who can't be bothered to make or update mods for a game I don't play anymore.
If you go to the cheat decisions you'll find options to access character interactions that let you convert people and lands to different Eldian religions and cultures.
If those don't work let me know, and I'll push an update cos it won't be difficult to fix. I last played with this mod 3 weeks ago but didn't use that feature so I technically haven't checked if it still works.
Popular spots are Sardinia, Ireland and Iceland, as island replacements for Paradis. Germany is also popular, due to old theories about the Walled Society being located in Germany.

(exception to both is made for the starting decisions)
If you want to change a character's traits with debug mode here's the trait IDs:
ackerman_trait
aot_royalty_trait (royal blood = stronger when becoming a shifter, and needed to get anything out of the Founding Titan as otherwise it's useless)
aot_eldianblood_trait
There's a mod called Debug Toggle (Less Invasive) that I recommend always having when playing with mods.
Yes, but it's usually not the optimum strategy from a "maximum total power" perspective, since you can get the benefits of the traits without having them yourself through the court positions. 9 people each with a different shifter power is stronger than 1 person with all the titan powers.
Also you don't get the traits from the ruler designer. It's through decisions, and then by eating shifters.
But I can subscribe to my own mod, copy the files into a new mod, fix anything wrong with that so that it works, and then pop a link in the comments and description leading to new mod.
But there's no point in doing that until this stops working or I feel like making some changes to it. If/when I do that, I'll change the title of the mod so you'll see in your load order that you gotta swap it out with a new one. It will at the very least work fine until 1.9, but will probably keep working after that too.
I might come back to modding if I regain my love for ck3 but if I do it won't be on this mod, it'll be SCP stuff or something else that I make for my own fun, not because I feel obligated to increase the fun of as many other people as possible by working on whatever has the most people using it.
