I've answered my question the hard way - no, after death pawn won't qualify as senator any longer, no matter how you resurrect it.
You'll have to start anew.

Can you please move road building to separate mod? There are mods which do it much better and they conflict with this mod because of road building from this mod

Question.
If your senator gets killed and is later resurrected via serum or death refusal will you still have to favor another one?
Someone must know.

Okay, I seem to have solved my issue. If anyone else has this, It seems that you can't get a quest unless there's at least one pawn currently at your settlement. If you only have one pawn and send them to the republic settlement to get the quest, I'm guessing the game can't calculate your wealth, and so can't generate a quest. I dev moded a temporary colonist onto my setllement map, unpaused for a short moment, then opened the senator screen again and got my quest. Then I deleted my temporary colonist. I'm off to try and solo this bandit outpost now.

Umm, I'm trying to do a quest for a senator, and the quest button isn't appearing. Just the bribe button. I'm at an Eastern Republic settlement. I right-clicked and hit open senator screen. Under each senator, the bribe button with the 1000 silver price is there, but no button to request a quest.

Is this a bug, or is there some requirement for getting quests from these guys? A certain number of colonists already? Ideo roles? A different quest I had to already get? Faction name?

@Deggial: Sand isn't a base game thing. Start by looking at what mods you have that use sand. "Soil Relocation Framework"? "Ceramics"? Any other mod? Only you know your own mod list, so only you can help yourself. Use Rimsort to save your current mod list and do some testing, enabling only one or two mods at a time to test how they interact until you can pinpoint the culprit. When just a few mods are enabled, the game loads quickly, and with Dev Mode, you can jump directly to a testing ground map from the main menu. Good luck with that.

Now that you put the processes from artisan things into the meat dryers.... any chance I can actually configure filters for it? those things have long been great for turning the unpalatable meat into something good?

What on earth?
'Concrete flooring' actually requires concrete now!
A 'Cement Press' is now mandatory!

I really, REALLY would like to know what caused this change!
Was it the VE mods or an entirely different mod?
My previous guess (the [SYR] Processor Framework) doesn't seem to apply to basic flooring changes.

Can anybody help me with an answer here?
Or at least point me in the right direction?

Hey guys, I'm not sure where to ask this, really.
This place is as good as any other, and 'cement making' is one of the places where 'it' happened.

So here is my question:
Did the VE team make many recipes more complicated, or was this caused by another mod?

'Geothermal generators' now require concrete to be built. (Obviously not from this mod.)
But concrete itself now requires *sand* and stone chunks.
However, this page only mentions stone chunks!

So, what is going on here?

Don't get me wrong! I really like the change!
I often found the RimWorld ingredients a bit simplistic.
This change makes everything a bit more challenging and, yes, more 'realistic'.

So, was it you?
Or is there another mod on my extensive list that adds these changes?

I've mentioned before that the more quest options you have, the less likely a senator quest is to give you a quest that can actually give favor.

Do not, NOT, try to complete senator quests after activating Oddessy. It would take you genuine hours and hours of savescumming taking quests and rejecting gravship quests. Genuinely unplayable at that stage.

@Laquillare well, Cherry Pickign doesnt work. So thank god I just edited save file to remove the active perks while Acheving the final objective of the mod. Besidess, Why are you so mad? You think people don't try things beforehand to avoid something from happening? The Config should (or at least Cherry picker) allow users to modify the settings or make disappear Too overblanaced things of the mod. But The VE mods are stubburn and torces their way of 'balance' and won't even allow some sort of flexibility. It's not mandatory for modder, its free and yes I also do Ilove Oskar's mods but the flaw is just a flaw. He can achieve perfection very easily just by letting his ego down a bit. So there is literally no reason you should get mad at me, or to Oskar. So chill

Great concept, but this mod feels very outdated and buggy in its current state. Would the team consider a rework, much like VFE - Medieval received? Some of the systems are just unacceptably rough right now.

"Q: Can I disable some aspect of the mod?"
"A: No, it comes in as a package. You can however use the mod called Cherry Picker to remove things you don’t want! I recommend it!"

YOU CAN, HOWEVER, USE A MOD CALLED CHERRY PICKET TO REMOVE THINGS YOU DON'T WANT! READ!

When I try to wear the shield it says "Cannot wear shield: Missing body parts". Is it because bionic arm blocks it?

The Senate sometimes gives map events (like refugee rescue/item stashes) as quests. These can't be completed, so you can't get senator favor. Could you please filter these events out of the quest pool? Thanks!

Love the mod. I'm doing a medieval play-thorough right now and I would have lost without the scorpions. Can you make it so pawns remove clothes or at least armor when using the bath? I find it so weird to watch my pawns bathing in plate armor. Also, can you add some health benefits to using the bath? Better circulation? Temporary pain relief? I feel like realism doesn't make things too overpowered.

So when I travel to a settlement of a republic and open the senator screen I don't have the options to request quests or bribe. What am I doing wrong? (trading works normally)

Side note: Despite how the favor description says that they'll join your colony, I've already recruited one of the factions this save and I don't have a single recruited senator. Not sure what's up with that...

blue: Yeah, but bronze is kind of a tremendous PITA to craft compared to using steel as-is. Very slow. Also, useful pretty much only for tiles, weapon, and armor- anything that requires Steel specifically, which is most things, can't use it.

Unfortunately, there are a small pool of quest options where you can gain Favor, but senators offer every single quest type in the game. The more content that adds quests you have, like medeval's ambush camps, the more diluted their quest pool gets, and the less likely you are to recieve a quest that can offer Favor.

And finally, I have deduced that it's not a numbers issue: The option to spawn a quest won't appear if you don't have at least one pawn at home. Any number can be out on caravan otherwise.

You cannot take a senator quest if you don't have someone at your base. All Pawns cannot be in a caravan or outpost

. Is there any way we can stop either the senate factions from adopting our ideology when uniting them OR preventing individual senators from adopting our ideology when initially recruited? I like the ideologies i made for them but my only option to get them to survive is to recruit them via hostility
Found a bug where if you turn in a prisoner while they're in a shuttle traveling with you, it'll delete the shuttle and everything in it except for your colonists.

If you have the vehicle interiors mod, and more then 2 people in the vehicle (one piloting, one or more in the interior), you cannot request a quest. If you have those people go home and leave the caravan, you can request a quest.

I'm completely certain the inability to take quests from senators with too many people in your party is deliberate, yet completely undocumented for some reason.
