Does the scorpion use the shooting skill, or does it have static accuracy?
No Mic Tweetus 21 Aug @ 8:21am
Uh, why wouldn't it?
Morcalvin 21 Aug @ 4:45am
Does this work with VFE-Empire?
ShadowBlade9 19 Aug @ 6:54pm
Love the mod. I'm doing a medieval play-thorough right now and I would have lost without the scorpions. Can you make it so pawns remove clothes or at least armor when using the bath? I find it so weird to watch my pawns bathing in plate armor. Also, can you add some health benefits to using the bath? Better circulation? Temporary pain relief? I feel like realism doesn't make things too overpowered.
Futstub 17 Aug @ 3:06am
So when I travel to a settlement of a republic and open the senator screen I don't have the options to request quests or bribe. What am I doing wrong? (trading works normally)

Пацаны бля заебали сделайте перевод уже на этот мод
Anker 15 Aug @ 6:30pm
Side note: Despite how the favor description says that they'll join your colony, I've already recruited one of the factions this save and I don't have a single recruited senator. Not sure what's up with that...

blue: Yeah, but bronze is kind of a tremendous PITA to craft compared to using steel as-is. Very slow. Also, useful pretty much only for tiles, weapon, and armor- anything that requires Steel specifically, which is most things, can't use it.
blue 15 Aug @ 5:06pm
So wait, bronze tiles are early-game sterile tiles but have the same cleanliness and lack the beauty debuff?
Anker 15 Aug @ 4:30pm
Unfortunately, there are a small pool of quest options where you can gain Favor, but senators offer every single quest type in the game. The more content that adds quests you have, like medeval's ambush camps, the more diluted their quest pool gets, and the less likely you are to recieve a quest that can offer Favor.
Anker 15 Aug @ 3:58pm
And finally, I have deduced that it's not a numbers issue: The option to spawn a quest won't appear if you don't have at least one pawn at home. Any number can be out on caravan otherwise.
Anker 15 Aug @ 3:23pm
Goatman: Seems like. It's been reported that thermaebaths don't ever seem to be used.
Anker 15 Aug @ 3:23pm
@langfao: Yes, each successful bribe increases the price of bribing any other senator, including from other factions.
Anker 15 Aug @ 3:22pm
You cannot take a senator quest if you don't have someone at your base. All Pawns cannot be in a caravan or outpost
Jet 14 Aug @ 12:56pm
. Is there any way we can stop either the senate factions from adopting our ideology when uniting them OR preventing individual senators from adopting our ideology when initially recruited? I like the ideologies i made for them but my only option to get them to survive is to recruit them via hostility
Found a bug where if you turn in a prisoner while they're in a shuttle traveling with you, it'll delete the shuttle and everything in it except for your colonists.

[Ref BEF12579] getting this cluttering up my logs, noticed some lag in game.
irynith_ 13 Aug @ 2:32am
it appears Jerky doesn't count as food for caravaning purposes
Langfao 12 Aug @ 7:43pm
The bribes with the senator's can increase?
Anker 11 Aug @ 5:45pm
If you have the vehicle interiors mod, and more then 2 people in the vehicle (one piloting, one or more in the interior), you cannot request a quest. If you have those people go home and leave the caravan, you can request a quest.

I'm completely certain the inability to take quests from senators with too many people in your party is deliberate, yet completely undocumented for some reason.
Goatmanpig 11 Aug @ 8:24am
Is the thermaebath not working currently>
Ralathar44 10 Aug @ 6:31pm
The roads feature in specific being gated behind this mod is mystifying. That feels like the kind of feature that should be its own mod: Vanilla Expanded: Roads. It feels kinda like it's being held hostage to "sell" the rest of the mod.

And I think it's overall harmful because the roads feature in this would prolly be one of the top mods on its own, but alot of people prolly don't even know yall made a roads feature because its buried in this mod.
Ralathar44 10 Aug @ 6:25pm
This mod kinda exemplifies my issues with alot of the more niche vanilla expanded mods. It has some really cool stuff in it like roads and the theater stage that are pretty universal are prolly deserve to be in the vanilla game they are so quality of ideas.

But then some niche interest stuff like the republic system and yet another story teller. Then some pretty clear bloat (weapons/apparel overlapin existing vanilla stuff + 1-2 unique items). Some overlap with popular mods like meat drying and additional drugs. Plus 1-2 questionably balanced things like a passive cooler that freezes a room using only wood and a shield that adds a massive amount of armor vs everything (its literally like 50% better vs sharp/blunt than the equivalent shield tech in the combat shields mod PLUS 350% as much heat protection, holy crap).

It feels like 3 separate wildly different mods kinda mooshed into one rather than a cohesive set of features like the VFE power or security or etc.

hold up i got a new VE idea... Vanilla Diddy Expanded: Ohio Mustard Oil :D
Öffentliches Ärgernis 9 Aug @ 5:28pm
@Brent Kerman I can't remember gaining any quests that did not allow to choose a "Senators Favor" result before 1.6 so I was sure it was a new issue.
I'm not qite sure but I think before I installed Progression:Core (which patches some mods to fit to VFE:Tribals and adds an unneded "tutorial" for Classical) I didn't have this issue. But ok, It adds another challenge (the other being the problem that at least subjective half of the quests are insectoid hives that are nearly undefeatable with tribals and CE).
Brent Kerman 9 Aug @ 1:44pm
Numero, It's always been that way. I am not certain it's intentional, but the effect is some are harder to impress.
GoofyGuy73 9 Aug @ 1:32pm
HELP I CAN'T ACCESS THE SENATOR SCREEN EVEN THOUGH I TRAVELED THERE
Numero Uno Husbando 9 Aug @ 9:03am
For the senator quest screen issues, for me it seemed to fix itself after I regenerated the senator via the dev menu. It at least made it so I could actually see all the senators and select quests. HOWEVER the quests being generated for this aren't the usual ones, they have mechanoid cluster, cache, and rescue missions in the mix and if it does not have "Favor of Senator" as a quest reward you will not gain you the senator or perk for finishing them, it does still counts as that senator's quest and you have to finish it in order to get a new one.
Brent Kerman 9 Aug @ 8:51am
@Offentliches, yup, has always done that. Just complete that quest and go ask for another. I think it's an issue with when it rolls a DLC or other mod quest it doesn't add the senator favor right, since it's always non-base game quests that I see it happen on.
I think the toga should only cover the skin layer, especially if you're playing with the VE tribals mod installed. following the research tree from VE's tribalwear (skin only) to the toga which covers the outer, middle, and skin layers just leads to the new toga being a direct downgrade and practically unusable as a clothing item. the toga is already inferior to a lot of VE tribal clothing, but at least for roleplay purposes changing the layers makes it somewhat comparable to the other apparels. I know this is something you can easily fix yourself manually by just going to the defs folder, but it'd be nice if it was updated to be a bit more balanced
Öffentliches Ärgernis 8 Aug @ 7:57am
Short question for fellow users: Does anybody else experience that Senators give out quests that don't grant the senators favor?
Recently I got two Siege camps (from VFE Medieval 2) from Senators as well as a Person in need (to fetch from the world map) that didn't even mention the Senators name.
gazza_m_bolton 8 Aug @ 1:13am
Very quick question does anyone know a way to disable select perks or amend them? Once you ally with the Eastern Empire I don't like the free research but would prefer a sort of boost in speed. I'm not asking for a change in the mod just how I would go about it as it's a personal choice.
No Mic Tweetus 7 Aug @ 3:09pm
Holy hell put all your thoughts into one comment instead of spreading your comment over 17 comments in two days, if you actually read the comments and didn't cover them up with your actual spamming you'd notice Oskar said they're not reading bug reports here.
.wolf 7 Aug @ 10:32am
I have the same problem as @Anker . I am not sure if another mod is conflicting or not .. but I do not have the choice to claim a quest from the senate when visiting them. I had it yesterday.
ccynq 6 Aug @ 8:20pm
Discovered prisoners do not help
ccynq 6 Aug @ 4:51pm
Few questions, does speed also scale with mechanoids? does any skill increase the speed such as mining? Thanks!
Anker 6 Aug @ 3:43am
"Why are you shotgun posting on STEAM?"
Why are you replying to someone shotgun posting on steam? And also, because other commenters might be running into the same issue and see the answer-

"When I arrive at the settlement and open senator's window, there is option to bribe them but no option to ask for a quest. Do I need to meet some specific conditions for that?"
See? This guy confirms.
Bitter Lemon 6 Aug @ 1:46am
I'm not sure I quite understand the thinking of putting such a massive, game-changing function such as road building in a factions mod for a specific faction. Surely it should be a mod in its own right, for people that want Vanilla Expanded roads but not the Roman Empire?
alijons 5 Aug @ 2:57pm
Well, I can confirm the spam of the person right before me... Sending more than TWO people on the caravan makes the "request quest" button not show up at all. Quite random?
alijons 5 Aug @ 2:43pm
When I arrive at the settlement and open senator's window, there is option to bribe them but no option to ask for a quest. Do I need to meet some specific conditions for that?
No Mic Tweetus 5 Aug @ 2:41pm
Why are you shotgun posting on STEAM?
Anker 5 Aug @ 7:57am
Kinda wish you could contact them by comms. Or sending a letter, or something. (Does rimworld have couriers?) It's frequent to generate a world map where all three factions are really, *really* far apart.
Anker 5 Aug @ 12:08am
It looks like quests can be offered without offering favor as a reward. You just have to keep trying, it looks like.
Anker 5 Aug @ 12:06am
Sent a party of three out to the world. 2 stayed in camp. One Split Caravan to a party of 1, which then visited a republic solo. No quest. Is this... intentional behavior? It seems weirdly robust for something which is completely unmentioned anywhere.
Anker 4 Aug @ 11:53pm
Confirmed. Sent a flying vehicle there with 2 people. Worked fine.
Anker 4 Aug @ 11:50pm
Reloaded a save. Sent 3 people. No quest. Reloaded. Sent 2 people. Quest. Reloaded. Sent 3 people to double check. No quest. Sent 2 people and their little dog, too. Quest.

So it looks like you can't have more then 2 humanoid pawns when you visit a Republic, or you can't request a quest. They're just straight up threatened by too many people, I guess. And here I thought it was the vehicles.
Anker 4 Aug @ 11:40pm
Ditched the poles in a camp. Revisted again. Senator screen still busted. I can't seem to track down what's causing this...
Anker 4 Aug @ 11:36pm
I visited the city again. No vehicles, but this time I included the hiking poles from Caravan Speed Upgrades. Once more, no senator screen. Starting to suspect anything that changes caravan speed at all disables the request-a-quest thing.
Anker 4 Aug @ 11:34pm
I mean, that's definitely valid, but if it's intentional it might want to be earmarked as such, since the information menu indicates otherwise. In other news...
No Mic Tweetus 4 Aug @ 9:37pm
Then it may be a balancing issue since, depending where you live, fish is hilariously easy to stockpile already.
Anker 4 Aug @ 11:46am
If you click the I button for information, you can see what materials are qualified as. Fish are qualified under 4 different tags, including Raw Meat.
