I've noticed that in multiplayer mode and with debug mode enabled, loading takes much longer and sometimes gets stuck initializing. Could this be the problem for some users? I recommend disabling debug mode.

You're not the only ones with this problem... If it's a solo game, it might help to have the sandbox preset included in the guide. If it's a multiplayer game, I'm afraid there's no clear solution... Mainly, reducing the number of mod maps, reducing the zombie population, and spawning in an area with a low building density usually helps. For many people, it works and they have no problems; they've even created a dedicated server with this collection. I'd add something obvious: don't forget to increase your game's RAM and give the server 16GB of capacity.

Usually, when the game doesn't load and crashes after clicking "click to start," it's usually due to a hardware issue or configuration errors.

What stompingtoad said.... I either sit waiting to connect to the MP server for hours just for nothing to happen or if I am able to join then you just sit on the click to start screen with nothing happening till you click your mouse and then the game crashes.

having an issue with a dedi, we get through all the way to "click to start" and it forever loads (waited 30+ mins and nothing) anyone know a fix?

@goggymc if you where using linux, you might have had perm issues. I fixed some perm issues I was running into with it copying and moving files when installing workshop items and got it working.

Just wanted to drop this in here if anyone else had ran into issues.

When the character gets stuck in an animation, I usually run by pressing the Ctrl key and the character gets unstuck.

That bug hasn't happened to me before. Look at the error alert in the lower right corner, click it, and look for the conflicting mods. It could be the Skizot's Carryable mod. What object is causing this problem?

Hello @Pvt. Clueless ! Of course. It's normal because the Cryogenic Winter mod makes it so cold, so if you're in the middle of winter, it's normal. If you're not comfortable with that, just deactivate the mod. You can adjust the temperature intensity in the sandobx settings. Also, here's the link with the temperature information.
However, if this happens to you in summer, then there's something wrong with your world.

But that problem only applies to hosting. If you're invited to an already created server, you shouldn't have any problems.

It may be a steam/network issue then. Obviously you probs checked the specific mod pages that wont download, but with it happening with multiple mods seems like its Steam or your network(interrupted WiFi) or less likely your hardware/software.
You could try unsubscribe from all and resubscribe, also use steam to check for corrupted files in the game.
Sry I haven't had this issue so don't know what is causing it. Good luck.

Hi!! My friend has the same problem when creating a server, but not for a solo game. I don't have that problem and I can create servers. What's clear is that it's a problem loading data into Steam's online service that only affects some players. You can try gradually activating mods on your server. Create one with fewer than 400 mods or from where it lets you create a stable one, and from there, add a few more and reload the server.

From what I've read, it's better to create a dedicated server, but I don't have the resources for that.

@Skakk sadly not the issue, I have onlysubscribed to the mods in this pack, unsubscribed from everything first, then subscribed to only this ones :-(

@goggymc - Just an idea as i had weird issues with another game when I was subscribed to so many mods. When I hit 1000 mods subscribed with Kenshi, it was not letting me download more mods and when I started the game, all mods would load up together by default.

No one else seemed to have the same issue so couldn't troubleshoot it well, but by removing some mods i was no longer using (subscribing to less than 1000 mods), the problems went away.

May not be your issue, but are you subscribed to many more Project Zomboid mods that are not in this list?

hey, i have done anything as written in the tutorial, but while initialising it just takes forever (hours) so i checked the coop-console and it looksl ike this at the end:

so it stops downloading the mod 2392676812 in this case.
The thing is, i had the same with like 5 or 6 different mods allready, so i took it out, tryed again, came to another mod with the same issue, took it out again and rinse and repeat, now i think i have a general problem, i am missing something?

@Pyaac- Yes, you can disable it. After doing so, go to the More Simple Traits mod and disable the Dynamic Traits option and enable the Vanilla option. That's it.

Is it fine to remove Dynamic Traits? It's a mod im not particularly comfortable with, everything else is fine. if so, what else should i remove? Or dynamic traits alone is enough

Okay. Since the MP for B42 won't be available until later this year or early 2026, I'm going to work on a CO-OP version of this current collection for B41. It'll take time, but it'll help me learn for B42. There are over 700 mods, and figuring out which ones work or which ones require a specific setup won't be easy. The next update to this collection will be a CO-OP version.

@Anti-sociaL You may not be following the instructions correctly. Read the comments and make sure you type them correctly, on the correct line, and then save the file.

Remember to add the "m" after the memory capacity; for example, for 12GB:
-Xmx12288m

Don't exceed that amount because the game engine can't handle it. If you type something incorrectly, the game will use 3GB by default.

Pues que solo vas a encontrarte vehículos con partes animadas (se abren puertas y esas cosas). La normal tiene esos y ademas vehículos de mods sin animaciones.

Hi @Kynikosa . Yes, there are many mods that affect traits... the first is the "Dynamic Traits" mod. If you're unfamiliar with it, check out the mod's page. If you're referring to the multiple moodlets on screen, you can disable the ones related to the "Weather Moods Mod." "Life Style - Hobbies" is another. There are also "Sleep On It," "Boredom Tweaks," "Become Brave," and more. Please check out the collection and you'll see that they're separated by category; you'll find everything related to traits in their respective sections. Cheers!

@LegitGamer1017 Here's the download link for the 41.78 files. They contain the load lists for the mod packs. They also contain the game configuration files and options for some mods. The .lua file belongs to the "Where Am I?" mod; you should place it in that mod's folder and overwrite the original file to correctly display the in-game zone names. @LegitGamer1017 Hi! I haven't played PZ for a while. I tried 42 for a few weeks and now I'm playing Escape from Tarkov. The installation guide doesn't work anymore. Some things have changed that affect the loading of mods. I still have the files, all of them, loading order, options configuration, mod menu manager, etc, etc. They are text files and if you are interested I can send them to you if you think they could be useful.

Off of first glance, this is a great modpack with a lot of interesting mods somebody can take inspiration from for their own modpack. I am currently planning to work through this list myself and play this with friends in 41.78.

Any certain balancing in terms of loot and etc you recommend with this modpack?

@MrPUNCHOSSS Confirmed, it has stopped working. Now we have to wait for enough mods to be ported before rebuilding the collection.
