This mod stops friendship quests from triggering with companions, which are necessary to upgrade their unique abilities. And, on a subjective note, the new martial arts are stupid, imbalanced, mostly quite ugly, and I just generally do not recommend anyone install this. Sort of a waste of a playthrough since you can't go back to the regular Lash patch afterward without breaking saves.

i only stole 3 things from the tea lady and now all her items are 0% chance to be stolen, when can you steal from her again?

Is there a list of what the codes are for all the secret playable characters? I am not seeing it if there is.

No worries. Thank you for the hard work. Latest patch was back in March 2021. As per responder in the forum, this mod is playable even without overwriting the patch. Some skills won't have any animations:

Drunk eight immortals, Murong family arts, Pixie sword, One yang finger, Shaolin dragon claws, Tai chi fist, 18 Dragon Subduing Palms, Buddha Staff

Just a heads up, one of the blade manuals don't show any animation. It's the one called Flaming Blade. I'm still enjoying the mods though, it's not like 1 missing animation is going to ruin my life. Lol

You need to go to the main menu and activate the mod (3rd from the bottom) then restart.

I also followed the instructions overriding any files but my games also still in chinese lol

How do I activate this in game? I clicked Subscribe, I followed the instructions on unzipping the files and overriding the folders. I launch the game and its still in Chinese.

Ahcastro, the secret playable characters replace the main character only. i can maybe create another mod that replaces the other characters in the team with real jin yong characters, i.e. Duan Siping to Duan Yu instead, etc.

Or is there any foreign forums where those assets are uploaded? I am interested in playing the Chinese mods but can't download the asset bundle. For example the World Enrichment MOD also has changes in story etc so I want to try to play but can't download asset bundle.

OK. I fixed it. It looks like it auto zips the directories. However, you will now need to extract the config file to manually extract the VH_Steam1.08v4.rar file and overwrite the root directory folders Asset Bundles and J2_Data for the effects to take effect. I'll put this at the top of the description. Unsubscribe and resubscribe if it is still an issue.
