It works fine without the need to update. The mod is so "cosmetic" and indepedent from the game that probably will never break.

Is this tank menu bugged? For me it as (as example) le_button0_text and buttons like that. How to fix it? (I turned all the mods off to check if it works, but no, same thing)

RIP to those amazing tank icons just started back with hoi4 and this was an ultra giga mod, unfortunately the tank icons are missing :/

ships would a be hard as there was so many upgrades and sub models of ships, For example the USS South Dakota-class battleship when toward to 3-4 official updates. There are some ships that had over 5 updates before, during and after WW2.
Planes is also the as ships there was sub, sub sub models of their model - Fw 190 A, then you have the A-5/u2 (two 20mms only) also A5/U4 (rockets pods).

Can you make something like this for aircraft? Maybe ships too?

I've set my game to French, could be taht tough.
As I've seen them like a couple days ago, with my game in English. Could be before the patch.

not for me, ive got the little tank button which works fine, but instead im not able to see any german armor icon (no other mod were added)
