@Vedrit The bottles look good, but it's a shame they're not in colour ;). But the new colour HUD doesn't seem to be working.
Vedrit  [author] 24 Nov, 2023 @ 5:28pm
@Baba Yaga wait, they're not showing in the vanilla HUD? I wonder if an update broke something beyond them simply not being in the correct fabrication category, because I know for sure they were showing in the vanilla HUD.

@Vedrit thx for your answer bro, so to follow your advice i have downloaded a simple mod: "HUD color" but that don't work. Can you give me a link to a HUD mod that would make yours work properly?
Vedrit  [author] 23 Nov, 2023 @ 4:20pm
@Baba Yaga are you using a custom HUD mod? The bottles *should* work for any HUD mod, but there may be something in a custom HUD doesn't detect the bottles.

I haven't the status of bottles on my HUD... Someone have an idea?

Since the latest update these are now in the wrong category, bottles have been moved to the "Equipment" category but these are still in the "Tools" one, would love a patch for this :p2cube:

@Anex unfortunately, the compatibility is not something I can do, since that mod looks for bottles by name. They would have to change how their mod searches for bottles to support modded bottles
Vedrit  [author] 23 Jul, 2022 @ 10:21pm
@oneshot2kills sure, go ahead.
@Anex at some point, probably. Can't say when I will, because I have 0 energy for mentally-intensive tasks

May I re-upload a modified version of this mod? With credit given for fixing the original mod of course.
Anex 22 Jul, 2022 @ 2:40pm
Hello, could you make it compatible with this very useful mod,

I probably won't edit this mod to include Graphene Core.
However, I do now think that the T2 bottle is heavier than it should be, since 30L of gas, even under immense pressure, isn't 30kg. The T1 bottle will probably also see a reduction in weight, though not as much as T2

Forgot to mention the link for the Graphene Core mod, plus I wanted to address the issue of gas leaking through the material. There are many flexible, durable, and non-reactive coatings and impregnations that would prevent gasses of your choosing from leaking out of the tanks, including hydrogen.

Calculated using Engineering Toolbox (Individual Gas Constants, Density and Specific Weight vs Temp and Pressure), CalculatorAtoz (density at pressure and IUPAC STP), GigaCalculator (Ideal Gas Law Calculator), SpaceEngineersWiki, gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/244850/discussions/11/2259060348501809031 , NASA docs & FOIA from space.StackExchange, and simple conversions.

The Hydrogen bottle should hold around 5.592x the amount of gas as vanilla and weigh about 3.680kg (+1kg tank) at the same item size (334.58kg/m^3 IUPAC ST). The bottle volume should be around 662.4 Liters, but the game is scaled heavily for inefficient thrusters and engines. This game scaling comes out to an effective volume of 5592 Liters (at 16,728.5kg/m^7 its as dense as Tantalum, normally 1000L at 2991.5kg/m^3 is as dense as Scandium) if you want to use KEEN SWH's math, which would also weigh vanilla 32.9kg or 184kg upgraded. The game's estimated 1815.46psi (125BAR; 59.83kg/m^3) pressure that comes out of the O2/H2 Generator (111.1g [110.23mol] H2 from 1kg Ice into 20L volume) is the normal unit of measure. You could also make the jets on the suit use both oxygen and hydrogen and be much less wasteful... or anyone if they want to use the community thread for TSEC & TSFC calculation help (thrust and fuel use realism).

The Oxygen bottle should hold around 5.548x the amount of gas as vanilla and weigh about 58.43kg (+1kg tank) at the same item size (5312kg/m^3 IUPAC ST). This comes out to an effective volume of 554.8 Liters (Normally 100L) at the game's estimated 1829.85psi (126BAR; 957.5kg/m^3) pressure that comes out of the O2/H2 Generator (888.8g [55.55mol] O2 from 1kg Ice into 10L volume). The player suit oxygen consumption is 3.78 Liters O2/min from the pressurized tank, equating to 17,327 Liters of O2 when expanded in the suit's (ISS Space Walks) 4.3psi environment. Using real world NASA VO2 consumption rates, this is 1575x (at rest) to 13,328x more oxygen than the human body consumes per minute. The maximum allowed oxygen leakage for NASA space suits is about 0.18L/min, a fraction of the low pressure oxygen consumption rate, and bringing our resting O2 consumption multiplier to 1549~11,707x worse than real life.

Hello!, might I ask that you please consider a tier three that uses Graphene Armor Core mod composites to store supercritical (around 700BAR/10,152psi) pure oxygen and hydrogen with a reduced tank weight which is more realistic?

First off, the default bottles were narrowed down to SCUBA tank manufacturer models in order to verify capacity. The game's models take up several times more inventory space than real life tanks, their weight is about 2.54x heavier than real life, they use 4.2x as much silicon in the manufacture as they should, and their internal capacity is close to accurate. They look to be based off of Pressed Steel Tanks (PST) model E7-80 Steel 10.19 Liter volume units at 11.8kg. I will be basing the following calculations off of an 11 Liter tank arbitrarily, even though Graphene tanks would be extremely thin and far less bulky.

Thanks for the answer. I think it was some weird interaction with another mod, but its no problem anymore:steamthumbsup:
Vedrit  [author] 6 Mar, 2022 @ 4:51pm
@Samuql when you say "doesn't work" could you explain? If you press F11, does it list any errors? Do you see the bottles in assemblers?
Samuql 6 Mar, 2022 @ 1:39pm
DOESNT WORK FF:steamhappy:

Really happy i came across the fixed version of this mod, was very disappointed to hear the original author left modding.
